{"id":11347,"date":"2023-06-06T10:42:35","date_gmt":"2023-06-06T09:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/?post_type=help-center&#038;p=11347"},"modified":"2025-10-28T08:38:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T07:38:36","slug":"hager-installation-guide","status":"publish","type":"help-center","link":"https:\/\/monta.com\/en\/help-center\/hager-installation-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"Hager Integration Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>&nbsp;that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the&nbsp;<strong>operator of the charge point<\/strong>. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> the charge point must support OCPP 1.6-j, some older Hager models do not support the protocol. If in doubt, please check with Hager.<br><br>This guide will specifically instruct on how to access the WebUI with a WiFi hotspot, where you will need a WiFi card which you can find in the provided box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If using a WiFi hotspot is not possible, you can alternatively access WebUI via an ethernet cable connected to the charger to a computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If using an Ethernet cable, the web server can be accessed directly by entering the address of the charging station name in a web browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact address is specific to each charging station, indicating the last 6 characters of its UID code specified on the product label or on the side configuration label. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example: <\/strong>https:\/\/hager-evcs-ab4df5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, scan the connected IP addresses via e.g. a router and access it from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can successfully connect via Ethernet cable, you can skip to Step 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Activate WiFi hotspot with WiFi card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Turn on the charge point on for the first time, the LED will flash an yellow light, then orange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will now have 5 mins to use the WiFi card. Once you swipe this, the LED will turn green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have saved a \u201cWifi Hotspot\u201d RFID card and allowed the RFID reader to scan it, the charge point switches to \u201cWifi Hotspot\u201d mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charge point will broadcast its own Wifi, using the default SSID \u201chager-evcs-[last6charUID]\u201d and the password \u201chager[last6charUID]\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SSID: <\/strong>hager-evcs-ab4df5 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>password:<\/strong> hagerab4df<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once connected to hotspot of the charge point, the IP address for the WebUI is <a href=\"https:\/\/10.0.0.1\/\">https:\/\/10.0.0.1\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> 3. Log in to the WebUI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Username:<\/strong> Admin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Password:<\/strong> 1234<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be prompted change the password once you are logged in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should now see 4 pages. Please go to the page called:  &#8220;<strong>Configuration<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. OCPP Configuration settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the &#8220;<strong>Configuration<\/strong>&#8221; page, you will find OCPP settings. For using Monta with this charge point, please enter the following settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OCPP server: <\/strong>wss:\/\/ocpp.monta.app<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Authentication: <\/strong>select suitable method for third party backend supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Login:<\/strong> leave blank<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Password:<\/strong> leave blank<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ChargePoint ID:<\/strong> HAGER(serialnumber)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RFID Access:<\/strong> select option to use RFID&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Charging restart authorization:<\/strong> Enable&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Connect the charger to the internet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can connect the charger on the installation site via WiFi or Ethernet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WiFi connection <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wifi SSID <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wifi Password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ethernet cable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DHCP client: connects to a DHCP server or assigns a fixed IP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IP address: defines the fixed IP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fallback IP address: defines the IP should there be a DHCP error<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After this, please restart the charge point. The charge point should now connect to Monta&#8217;s OCPP server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"toc-item-3\">6.
