After you have set up a rule, you don&#8217;t need to use Monta Charge to initiate charging anymore!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you set it and forget it, here are some things to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charging rules only work when the charge point is set to Private <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently, you can only create 1 rule at a time <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you set up a Charging rule, you can still <a href=\"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/help-center\/charge-now-at-home\/\" data-type=\"help-center\" data-id=\"1850\">perform a manual charge <\/a>(slide start via Monta Charge)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your charge point needs to support <a href=\"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/supported-charge-points\/?_features=AutoStart\">Autostart<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/supported-charge-points\/?_features=AutoSmartCharge\">AutoSmartCharge<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To create a Charging rule, you need to be the owner of the charge point or have configuration rights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access Charging rules <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Charging rules are located in the settings of your charge point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>Chargers<\/strong> and find your charge point<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the settings wheel and click on <strong>Charging rules<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>+ Charging rule<\/strong> and select between:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SmartCharge (previously Auto SmartCharge)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheduled charge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charge immediately (previously Autostart)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: If you haven&#8217;t set up a charging rule yet, the Chargers tab will display the section &#8220;A<em>ctivate charging rule?<\/em>&#8220;. You can click on &#8220;<strong>Set up charging rule<\/strong>&#8221; to access the Charging rules section.<br>Once you have set up a charging rule, the settings will appear in the Chargers tab. You can access the charging rules by clicking on the rule. This was previously known as Auto SmartCharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Make sure that you have <a href=\"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/help-center\/enable-and-set-up-smartcharge\/#heading-1\" data-type=\"help-center\" data-id=\"1860\">enabled SmartCharge <\/a>from the Access settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>Chargers<\/strong> and find your charge point<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the settings wheel and click on <strong>Charging rules<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>SmartCharge<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select if you want to delay the start of the charge\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The algorithm will schedule the start after the time you specify here<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select when you want the car to be ready for pickup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the car and amount you are charging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on<strong> Save rule<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View your Charging rule to make sure it fits your needs<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"storylane\">\n        <script src=\"https:\/\/js.storylane.io\/js\/v1\/storylane.js\"><\/script>\n        <div class=\"sl-embed\" style=\"position:relative;padding-bottom:calc(216.41% + 2px);width:100%;height:0;transform:scale(1)\">\n          <iframe class=\"sl-demo\" src=\"https:\/\/app.storylane.io\/demo\/55myuuw7w3vj\" name=\"sl-embed\" title=\"Interactive product demo\" aria-label=\"Interactive product demo\" allow=\"fullscreen; camera; microphone\" style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;border:1px solid rgba(63,95,172,0.35);box-shadow: 0px 0px 18px rgba(26, 19, 72, 0.15);border-radius:10px;box-sizing:border-box;\"><\/iframe>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scheduled charge rule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheduled charging allows you to state the exact time when you want your car to charge. However, you can update your Charging rule and switch between the three modes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>Chargers<\/strong> and find your charge point<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the settings wheel and click on <strong>Charging rules<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the created charging rule<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Charging type <\/strong>to select and set a different type of rule\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To deactivate a rule, you can just toggle it off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"storylane\">\n  <script async src=\"https:\/\/js.storylane.io\/js\/v2\/storylane.js\"><\/script>\n  <div class=\"sl-embed\" style=\"position:relative;padding-bottom:calc(216.22% + 0px);width:100%;height:0;transform:scale(1)\">\n    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"sl-demo\" src=\"https:\/\/app.storylane.io\/demo\/uhfsguiqdmjt?embed=inline\" name=\"sl-embed\" title=\"Interactive product demo\" aria-label=\"Interactive product demo\" allow=\"fullscreen\" allowfullscreen style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%!important;height:100%!important;border:1px solid rgba(63,95,172,0.35);box-shadow: 0px 0px 18px rgba(26, 19, 72, 0.15);border-radius:10px;box-sizing:border-box;\"><\/iframe>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enable Reimbursed charging<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This function is only available for uses who have already set up their<a href=\"https:\/\/monta.com\/uk\/help-center\/set-sponsored-charge-point-user\/\" data-type=\"help-center\" data-id=\"12986\"> Reimbursed charging<\/a>.
