This is a guide that shows how to install Monta on your charge point. If you want to connect your charge point to your Monta account, please follow the steps in the end of the guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note<\/strong> that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the operator of the charge point<\/strong>. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Download the NRGkick app on your device<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, connect the NRGkick charging unit to an outlet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, download the free NRGkick App from the App Store<\/a> or Google Play Store<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Connect to the unit via Bluetooth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make sure to enable Bluetooth on your device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After opening the NRGkick App, it searches for your charging unit within Bluetooth-range first (app. 10m). When it found your NRGkick, it will appear as User01<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Set up the internet connection for the unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Click on the User01 button to initiate the Setup Wizard, which will guide you through the next steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The setup also includes connecting the unit to a nearby WiFi network \u2013 make sure to configure it, if your NRGkick does not have an internal SIM for internet connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Create a NRGkick account and link your unit <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next step is to create a free NRGkick Cloud Account and then link your NRGkick to it. This is needed so charging data can be sent to Monta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.a. Tap on Register and choose your desired eMail and password<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.b. Check your email to confirm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you have done this, you will immediately receive an eMail where you have to confirm the new Cloud Account by clicking a link in it. Remember check your spam and junk folders, if you do not receive the email within 2-3 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.c. Link your unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you did this, link your NRGkick charging unit to your account by tapping the button Link with account.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Configure the unit to Monta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Enter the Extended<\/strong> tab and there click on Charging Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the Predefined<\/strong> section and click on Monta<\/strong>.  All settings are pre-filled for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OBS!<\/strong> Before clicking \u2705, copy\/make a screenshot of the page of the App. You will need the Chargepoint Identifier <\/strong>and User Tag Identifier<\/strong> when you are connecting the unit to your Monta account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Connecting the charge point to your Monta account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now you need to add and connect your charge point to your Monta account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can do this through either Monta Charge<\/a> or Monta Hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure to select the OCPP method for connecting. The serial number is the ChargePoint Identifier<\/strong> from the NRGkick App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Enable Charge Immediately Charging rule and Sponsored charging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once the Charge Point has connected to Monta, the charging rule Charge immediately<\/a> is created automatically, ensuring that a charging sessions starts immediately when the EV is plugged in with the NRGKICK.
