This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h_1f427c5bae\" data-post-processed=\"true\">1. Prerequisites<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Before installing the charge point, make sure that<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\"><b>You have a user account<\/b> and are using the newest version of the Service Installer application. You can request an account at: <b><a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"http:\/\/support.alfen.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/support.alfen.com<\/a><\/b>. Click on &#8216;Sign up for an account&#8217;. Note that new account creation may take several working days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Your charging station <b>is already connected to internet<\/b> via Wifi or with an Ethernet cable. The charge point and the computer you are using for the installation must be connected to the same network.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"h_6f0c47d07e\" data-post-processed=\"true\"><b>2. The available updates should pop up as soon as you open the installer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"intercom-container\"><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h_820d94a2ee\" data-post-processed=\"true\"><b>3. Select the Monta preset from the Alfen installer app<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Follow the guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Firmware Monta-A.fwi should be uploaded if lower than 4.14<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Firmware Monta-B.fwi should be uploaded if higher than 4.14+<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Please note that we always recommend to update to the latest version, so Monta-B. fwi should be the one to use by default.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">You can download Monta-A.fwi <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1P845d7EL2CpUfw4Et7_868vcHhPKKYzL\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> or Monta-B.fwi <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1giQNCFBbl1sAz8e7Whv8KG96KcTws4jZ\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"h_a6be33f54b\" data-post-processed=\"true\"><b>5. Upload the firmware file<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>1. Begin by clicking on <b>&#8220;Update Firmware&#8221;<\/b> in the bottom right corner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">2. When the window pops up, click on the three dots <b>&#8230;<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">3. Select to upload Monta-A.fwi or Monta-B.fwi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">4. Click on <b>Start upload<\/b>\u00a0and update the firmware. Select your charge point<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">1.\u00a0 Click on your charge point on the left side of the screen (ID ACExxxxxxx)<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">2. Change the priority to 14.
