Please note<\/b> that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the operator of the charge point<\/b>. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n

1. Change your network settings<\/h2>\n

Here you need to change the network settings of your computer, according to the charge point’s local IP.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n

To do so, click on the Internet icon<\/b> in the bottom-right corner of your computer screen. From there, open the “Network & Internet Settings”<\/b> of your device.<\/p>\n

2. Select “Change adapter options”<\/h2>\n

Select “Change adapter options”<\/b>, located in the Advanced networks settings.<\/p>\n

3. Right-click on “Ethernet adapter” and select “Properties”<\/h2>\n

Once you enter the “Change adapter options”, find the Ethernet adapter<\/b>, right-click on it, and select “Properties”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

4. Find and select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP\/iPv4)” and click on “Properties”<\/h2>\n

In “Ethernet Properties”, find the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP\/iPv4)<\/b>, click on it, and press “Properties”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

5. Select and fill out “Use the following IP addresses”<\/h2>\n

Once you are there, select “Use the following IP addresses”<\/b>, if not selected, and enter the values as following:<\/p>\n

IP address: <\/b>192.168.1.x <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

*Please note that x <\/i><\/b>can be any value between 1 and 255, except 5. This can be seen in the example below, where the value of x<\/i><\/b> is the number 4.<\/p>\n

Subnet Mask:<\/b> 255.255.255.0<\/p>\n

Default gateway:<\/b> 192.168.1.10<\/p>\n

After putting in the values, click on “OK”<\/b> and close the window.<\/p>\n

6. Open your browser to 192.168.1.5:8080<\/h2>\n

Open up the browser, type in the IP 192.168.1.5:8080<\/b> in the URL field and hit enter.<\/p>\n

Once this page opens up, you need to log in. The account password is: 12345678<\/b><\/p>\n

When you click on “Submit”<\/b>, you will enter the Web Interface of the charge point.<\/p>\n

7. Adjust the charge point’s settings<\/h2>\n

Enter the following details:<\/p>\n

WiFi SSID: <\/b>Change it to match your WiFi name<\/b>. Please note that it must be exactly the WiFi’s name, including special symbols or spaces if relevant.<\/p>\n

Server URL:<\/b> ws:\/\/ocpp.monta.app:80<\/p>\n

Charge Mode:<\/b> 1<\/p>\n

WiFi Key:<\/b> *your WiFi password*<\/p>\n

After you have filled out the information, click on “Set and Reboot”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Charge point should reboot now.<\/p>\n

Please note<\/b>: After refreshing, the browser might remove the “:8080<\/b>” in the address, in which case you need to add it again. 192.168.1.5:8080<\/b><\/p>\n

The rest of the process takes place in Monta.<\/p>\n

8. Connecting the charge point to your Monta account<\/b><\/h2>\n

Now you need to add and connect your charge point to your Monta account.<\/p>\n

You can do this through either Monta Charge<\/span><\/a> or Monta Hub<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

9. Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n

If you can not connect the charge point to Monta at the verification step, please try the following:<\/p>\n

a. <\/b>Switch the OCPP url back to ProjectEV [ws:\/\/projectevcharger.com:80\/ocpp\/ws<\/a>]<\/p>\n

b. <\/b>Check the ProjectEV app<\/p>\n

c. <\/b>If it\u2019s not visible, the charger is not connected to the internet properly.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u27a1\ufe0f In this case, please connect your charge point to the internet and try again.<\/p>\n

d.<\/b> If it\u2019s visible, the problem is the firmware is not compatible with Monta.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u27a1\ufe0f In this case, please contact ProjectEV, so they can update the firmware of your charge point.<\/p>\n
