Please note<\/b> that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the operator of the charge point<\/b>. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n

1. Download the Webasto Charger Setup app<\/h2>\n

In order to configure your Webasto Next, you need to first download the Webasto Charge Next app from the Play Store<\/a> or App Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. Login to the app<\/h2>\n

Open the app and login with the charge point. The credentials that you need are located in the manual that you have received with the charge point.<\/p>\n

WLAN SSID name:<\/b> (charge point serial number)<\/p>\n

WLAN key:<\/b> (password)<\/p>\n

You can manually type in the credentials into the field or you can scan the QR code, located next to the credentials.<\/p>\n

Scanning the QR code<\/b><\/p>\n

Note<\/b>: If you want to use the QR, you many need to wait a few minutes after turning on the charge point. Instructions will be displayed on the screen.<\/p>\n

Once you have scanned the code and the message to connect has appeared, click on “Join”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

3. Initial Configuration<\/h2>\n

Once you login, you will be able to configure the charge point. Click on “Initial configuration”<\/b> and follow the steps on the screen.<\/p>\n

Power settings<\/b><\/p>\n

Adjust the charge point effect.<\/p>\n

Free charging<\/b><\/p>\n

Select “Disable free charging”<\/b> from the menu.<\/p>\n

Internet type<\/b><\/p>\n

Select how to connect your charge point to the internet and enter the related credentials. In this example, we have connected the charge point by Wifi connection.<\/p>\n

4. Apply and reboot<\/h2>\n

After you have performed all of the configurations, you will get this screen.<\/p>\n

Click on the “Apply and reboot”<\/b> button to apply the configuration changes and wait for the charge point to reboot.<\/p>\n

5. Connect to the charge points’ hotspot<\/h2>\n

Open WiFi settings on your mobile device and find WiFi with a name of NEXT-####### and connect to it. For the password, use WLAN Key from the manual used previously.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n

6. Access the Web User Interface<\/h2>\n

Now open a browser and type in 172.20.0.1 <\/b>and enter. You might be prompted to a security page preventing from entering the WebUI due to security reasons, you can still access it by pressing “visit this website”.<\/p>\n

Now you can login using these credentials:<\/p>\n

Username<\/b>: admin<\/p>\n

Password<\/b>: Master Password from the manual<\/p>\n

7. Change the Backend settings<\/h2>\n

Now in the WebUI navigate to “Backend” settings.<\/p>\n

Change the following:<\/p>\n

Connection type<\/b>: WLAN<\/p>\n

Connection URL: <\/b>wss:\/\/ocpp.monta.app\/<\/p>\n

Press “Save”<\/p>\n

8. Reboot the charge point<\/h2>\n

Now press on the “AD” icon on the top-right corner and select “Restart System”.<\/p>\n

9. Connecting your charge point to your Monta account<\/h2>\n

Now you need to add and connect your charge point to your Monta account.<\/p>\n

You can do this through either Monta Charge<\/span><\/a> or Monta Hub<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

10. Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n

If you connect to Monta, but you are not able to charge, your charge point may have an old firmware version.<\/p>\n
