If you want to connect your charge point to your Monta account, please follow the steps in the end of the guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong> that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the <strong>operator of the charge point<\/strong>. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_7f10f1f42a\"><strong>1. Prerequisites<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following instructions describe general settings for configuration towards backend via LAN cable to a public network as well as mobile connection via built-in modem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions for configuring OCPP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to be able to configure OCPP on the charge control, these steps must be performed. Remove the jumper on the CCU between 12V (6) and IN2 (2) according to the diagram below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545629290\/b5c2f33f3da74f536854c5fc\/OCPP+configuration.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545629290\/b5c2f33f3da74f536854c5fc\/OCPP+configuration.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Firmware version<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the integration, make sure the charge point controller has the latest firmware, it can be downloaded from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/da-dk\/produkter\/ac-ladestyring-charx-sec-3150-1138965\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_ab1101727a\"><strong>2. Connect to the charge point\u2019s controller<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To connect to the charge point\u2019s controller, it\u2019s recommended to use a Windows device and establish a connection via USB-C cable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Before connecting you will need to install the RNDIS drivers from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/Search.aspx?q=rndis%20gadget\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this catalog<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find your device\u2019s operating system from the downloads list and click the download button located on the right side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unpack the zip file to a directory, for example, c:\\rndis-driver.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Device Manager on your computer by entering <strong>\u201cDevice Manager<\/strong>\u201d in the search bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the charge point to the computer. (<em>If the charging controller is already connected, you need to disconnect it briefly<\/em>.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A device appears when a charging controller is connected and disappears again when it is disconnected. This is the interface for the charging controller. Depending on the operating system, it will be called <strong>\u201cUSB Device\u201d<\/strong> or something similar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Device Manager for the newly found device, select the menu <strong>\u201cUpdate Driver\u201d<\/strong> and browse manually. Select the target directory below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The driver is found in the target directory. The device is displayed under <strong>\u201cNetwork, USB Ethernet\/RNDIS Gadget\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Troubleshooting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If access is not possible although the driver has been installed, it may be for one of the following reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The computer is attempting to establish the connection via an Ethernet or WLAN interface. In this case, disable the interfaces for a brief time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The driver was not assigned to the correct interface. Check which interface appears or disappears by plugging in and unplugging the module.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_1cd347e017\"><strong>3. Open a browser window to 192.168.5.1<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While the charge point is connected to the Windows device via USB-C cable, open a browser window, type in <strong>192.168.5.1<\/strong> and hit enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Login to the charge point\u2019s web user interface with these credentials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Username:<\/strong> operator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Password:<\/strong> operator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545635673\/825f070c79b63e5c81ea17a1\/image8.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545635673\/825f070c79b63e5c81ea17a1\/image8.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_6a958c780a\"><strong>4. Click on the top charging socket under &#8220;Charging Points&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/550659599\/572681e91b75219e270ac4e4\/Screenshot+2022-07-22+at+11.18.17.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/550659599\/572681e91b75219e270ac4e4\/Screenshot+2022-07-22+at+11.18.17.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_9dcdd4446c\"><strong>5. Set the release mode of the charge point<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on <strong>&#8220;Configuration&#8221;<\/strong> on the left side menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545671658\/21ae46211f528c59e306877d\/click+on+configuration+.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545671658\/21ae46211f528c59e306877d\/click+on+configuration+.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then scroll down to find <strong>\u201cRelease Mode\u201d<\/strong> and select <strong>\u201cBy OCPP\u201d <\/strong>option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545674192\/0d056d45aa119a573e0040c5\/release+mode.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545674192\/0d056d45aa119a573e0040c5\/release+mode.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_a51d851992\"><strong>6. Change the OCPP ID<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Find the OCPP ID parameter and change it from -1 to 1 as seen below. Now scroll up again and click <strong>\u201cSave\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545675952\/fe17e2e667511ea9e3a31402\/image1.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545675952\/fe17e2e667511ea9e3a31402\/image1.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that if there are multiple sockets, you have to do the same for each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_1bcff9acf5\"><strong>7. Change the OCPP settings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on \u201c<strong>Charging Park\u201d<\/strong> and select <strong>\u201cOCPP\u201d.<\/strong> Then, click on <strong>\u201cConfiguration\u201d<\/strong> on the left side menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545680096\/559bcf2c05c8c4e6d8388a27\/ocpp+settings+access.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545680096\/559bcf2c05c8c4e6d8388a27\/ocpp+settings+access.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Change the following settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Protocol Version:<\/strong> OCPP 1.6J<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Network Interface:<\/strong> choose according to your internet connection setup (see next step)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Backend URL:<\/strong> wss:\/\/ocpp.monta.app\/ChargePointSerialNumber<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on <strong>&#8220;Save&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/550671768\/1d2f3e4d9e04f303e0f3923f\/Screenshot+2022-07-12+at+08.22.31.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/550671768\/1d2f3e4d9e04f303e0f3923f\/Screenshot+2022-07-12+at+08.22.31.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After you have clicked <strong>&#8220;Save&#8221;<\/strong>, click on the <strong>\u201cRestart OCPP Service\u201d<\/strong> button on the right side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/monta-ecae44cb7c8d.intercom-attachments-7.com\/i\/o\/545696360\/b116038b9c6c83ec871876f2\/rvnzLjGa0yoOGHv5047ZX41zqUG5e7L6WDUBN6U-ggJmUwxVQUgGnSj8wZt0bGQMCb08f8oZlaQuGetVCZ2DRq3nnvvm03O0LNdDyNSNBuBfYF6rd6KNUyf4zThN8-KL9mH6gRffx_M5qG4kjJY6_ZQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/monta-ecae44cb7c8d.intercom-attachments-7.com\/i\/o\/545696360\/b116038b9c6c83ec871876f2\/rvnzLjGa0yoOGHv5047ZX41zqUG5e7L6WDUBN6U-ggJmUwxVQUgGnSj8wZt0bGQMCb08f8oZlaQuGetVCZ2DRq3nnvvm03O0LNdDyNSNBuBfYF6rd6KNUyf4zThN8-KL9mH6gRffx_M5qG4kjJY6_ZQ\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_1b45e649a7\"><strong>8. Network configuration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, you need to set up the network interface, according to how your charge point is connected to the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ethernet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select <strong>LAN &#8211; ETH0<\/strong> from the Network Interface drop down menu, and click on <strong>&#8220;Save&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545684783\/fad6249545c17422f3916c04\/image3.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545684783\/fad6249545c17422f3916c04\/image3.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SIM card<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select <strong>Cellular Network <\/strong>and configure modem settings in the <strong>\u201cSystem Control\u201d<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Change the SIM configuration as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. Put a check in the <strong>&#8220;Service active&#8221;<\/strong> field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>b. Put a check in the <strong>&#8220;Default route&#8221;<\/strong> field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>c. Put a check in the <strong>&#8220;Preferred Modem over ETH0&#8221;<\/strong> field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>d. Specify all <strong>APN<\/strong> settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>e. Click &#8220;<strong>Save<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>f. Click <strong>&#8220;Restart Modem Service&#8221;<\/strong> and wait about 5 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545691289\/02d6864e4b4edd576cc1e193\/sim+car.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545691289\/02d6864e4b4edd576cc1e193\/sim+car.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_4bcf4ff680\"><strong>9. Check the connection status of your charge point<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s possible to check if the connection was successful in the <strong>\u201cStatus\u201d<\/strong> section as seen below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to look at the light next to the <strong>&#8220;Connection status&#8221;<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Green light:<\/strong> Charge point is connected to the Monta servers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Red light:<\/strong> Reconfigure the internet settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545692838\/938e760b0b9595c1cbabc7ad\/image4.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/545692838\/938e760b0b9595c1cbabc7ad\/image4.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_8ab2670ac0\"><strong>10.
