Scope and approach

Monta does not employ lobbyists and does not routinely engage in direct lobbying. Our engagement with public policy takes place primarily through industry associations, and occasionally through direct participation in consultations or dialogue with policymakers on topics relevant to EV charging and energy. This policy applies to Monta ApS, its subsidiaries, and to Monta Pay ApS, and to all employees who engage with policymakers, regulators, or public officials on Monta’s behalf.

2. Principles

Monta will engage in lobbying and policy advocacy only to contribute to a positive impact on society or the environment, consistent with our purpose and with the UN Sustainable Development Goals most relevant to our work (SDG 7, 11, and 13). Positions we advance are based on reliable data — evidence from our platform and independent market research — and on published scientific data where relevant.

3. Political contributions

Monta does not make financial or in-kind contributions to political parties, politicians, candidates, or campaigns. Under Monta’s Anti-Bribery & Corruption commitments in the Code of Conduct, any exception would require explicit approval by the Board of Directors and full legal compliance; no such contribution has been made or approved.

4. Anti-corruption and bribery

Monta applies zero tolerance for bribery and corruption in all engagement with public officials, as set out in Monta’s Anti-Bribery & Corruption commitments in the Code of Conduct — which prohibits bribes, kickbacks, and facilitation payments, sets strict rules and approval thresholds for gifts and hospitality, and complies with the Danish Criminal Code, the UK Bribery Act, the U.S. FCPA, and the OECD and UN anti-corruption conventions.

5. Industry associations and intermediary organizations

Monta engages with public policy primarily through membership of industry bodies. As of the date of this policy, these include:

ChargeUp Europe — the industry association of the EV charging infrastructure and services sector in Europe;

Drivkraft Danmark — driving the green transformation of transportation and logistics; and

SmartEn (Smart Energy Europe) — advancing smarter, more flexible energy use across Europe.

We review periodically — and whenever we become aware of a potential conflict — whether the public positions of the organizations we are members of remain consistent with this policy. If an organization takes lobbying positions that undermine this policy, Monta will publicly report our position compared to the organization’s, explain how we are working to positively influence its position, and state the circumstances under which we would end the engagement.

The memberships listed above are illustrative of the organizations through which Monta engages with policy, and are not an exhaustive or fixed list. Monta’s memberships will change over time as our markets and priorities develop. Joining or leaving an industry association does not constitute an amendment to this policy and does not require renewed approval by the Board of Directors; any new membership is subject to the same review and consistency requirements set out in this section. An up-to-date list of Monta’s industry association memberships is maintained by the Executive Office and available on request.

6. Governance and controls

This policy is approved by the Board of Directors of Monta ApS, the company’s highest governing body, and is formally reviewed by the Board at least every 36 months. The Chief of Staff is accountable for enforcing the policy. It is put into practice by requiring that any engagement with policymakers on Monta’s behalf is coordinated through the Executive Office, and through the periodic review of industry-body memberships described above. Compliance is monitored by the management team on an ongoing basis, with any important findings reported to the Board as part of regular ESG reporting.

7. Raising concerns

Monta employees and any other stakeholders can raise concerns about Monta’s business conduct — including suspected breaches of law, internal policies, ethical standards, or our lobbying practices — through our whistleblower channel, hosted on an independent, secure third-party platform: HERE. Reports can be made confidentially or anonymously and are handled by designated case managers; receipt is acknowledged within 7 days and feedback provided within 3 months, with each report followed through the platform until resolution — or, where an issue is not accepted as a concern, an explanation given. Monta does not tolerate retaliation of any kind against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

8. Approval and publication

This Responsible Lobbying Policy (version dated 7 August 2026) was reviewed and approved by the Monta Board of Directors by written resolution in lieu of a meeting.

Date of approval: 25th August 2026

Effective date: 25 August 2026 1.
