Copenhagen, 30 June<\/strong> – Monta today announced that it gains access to Plugsurfing’s roaming network, further extending the reach of Monta’s built-in roaming infrastructure to over one million charge points across 26 European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of Plugsurfing, part of Corpay and one of Europe’s largest eMobility service providers, brings Monta’s total roaming coverage to over one million active charge points in Europe alone. Notably, drivers gain access to an additional 137,000+ high-power charge points for ultra-fast charging on long-distance routes. With access to lower charge point operator (CPO) rates, the partnership enables more competitive roaming prices for drivers, with no action required from operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike approaches that rely on a single third-party network to provide roaming coverage, Monta has developed its own \u2018Managed Roaming Network\u2019, built over the last five years and expanded through partnerships with best-in-class EMSP and CPO networks, such as Plugsurfing, all managed centrally by Monta on behalf of its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monta’s ‘Managed Roaming Network’ is designed to solve the complexity of the fragmented European charging market. It functions as a central hub, eliminating the need for CPOs to negotiate individual contracts with numerous roaming networks. Monta handles all the partnerships, integrations, and billing centrally, creating one large, unified network for its customers. This ensures drivers can charge seamlessly across different providers without worrying about technical hurdles or payment issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Plugsurfing, Monta is further strengthening its roaming offering by extending its geographical and network coverage. The commercial and technical relationship sits entirely between Monta and Plugsurfing – meaning Monta’s CPO customers do not need to contract with, integrate with, or manage a relationship with Plugsurfing directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
