Welcome to the latest edition of the Monta Portal update blog! We are excited to share with you the new features and improvements that we’ve been working on to enhance your user experience. This month, we’ve focused on bringing you more flexibility, convenience, and efficiency in managing your business through the Monta Portal.

The updates for February include new use cases in the Partner API and more detailed export data for Sponsored charge points.

We understand the importance of staying ahead in today’s fast-paced business environment and these updates are designed to help you do just that.

Learn how to access these features below.

New things you can do with the Partner API

If you’re using our Partner API solution or planning to do so, keep reading!

We understand that having to switch back and forth between multiple tools to update or perform certain actions can be a hassle. Not only is it a major time-waster, but it can also lead to inconsistencies in the data across all your tools and systems, ultimately defeating the purpose of having them in the first place.

To help you overcome that, our Partner API now enables you to develop your own use cases around Monta-managed charge points, i.e. present them within your own solutions, start/stop charges, or just import information into your CRM tool to have all business-relevant data in one place.

Our Partner API improves every month and as of now, you can benefit from the following add-ons:

  • Reserve charge points from your own system/tool if you need to;
  • Filter charges by charge point ID, team ID, site ID, state of charger, chargeAuthType (e.g. by vehicle ID or charge key ID), and dates to create your own reports or simply feed data into your system;
  • Retrieve a list of charge auth tokens to identify how people are initiating charges on your site (e.g. you can see a vehicle ID and a charge key ID with a team ID  linked to it);
  • Manage charge keys – add, update, or delete charge keys from your own system if you need to;
  • Retrieve a list of teams or details on a team to have this data in your CRM systems;
  • Add operator notes to a charge point.

Additionally, we have created a completely new developer hub for you where you can find guides, examples, integration notes as well as the API documentation. You can also try out our API directly from here.

In summary, the Partner API helps you keep all your business-relevant data in one place without having to switch between your tools and systems if you have to capture data (e.g. add operator note to charge point), retrieve data (e.g. filter & retrieve lists options) or just do day-to-day actions (e.g. add & delete charge keys).

Extract details for your sponsored charge point reimbursements

If you’re reimbursing your employees for charging their EV at home, you may be missing a more detailed way of exporting and analysing your total payout and potential government contributions (such as Strømstøtte in Norway) for each charge session during a month.

In the new export function for sponsored charge points, you can now see these details for each charge session on a more granular level. This will help you understand the reimbursed amounts better, especially if a government contribution is applied.

You can already export charge sessions in the Monta Portal from many different places. With this update, we are just adding more details to export this data for sponsored charge points.

As of now, this feature is available for Norway only. However, as many countries start to subsidise citizens for their electricity consumption, you may find this update useful as we roll out the possibility of calculating government contributions when sponsoring charge points in your country.

Charge Point Integrations – New models added

We have added 14 new charge point models in the past month, making us integrated with 288 models in total now! See the full list here (available in English).
