For: Operators (CPOs) who set up and support the home charging installations of their customers
This article lists the steps to find, create, and manage a home for energy management in the Hub. A home groups the EVSEs (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) and energy integrations of one account, so features such as solar charging and fuse protection can work together.
This article does not explain what the features and devices do. For that, see Home features in Monta Charge, How do I set up and use solar charging at home?, and How do I set up and use fuse protection in Monta Charge? Homeowners do not see these screens. They manage their home in the Monta Charge app.
Where do I manage homes?
Go to CPO / Network → Energy management → Home energy features.
Only operator users who can edit the operator see Energy management. The feature is rolling out, so not every operator has it yet.
How do I find a home?
Go to Energy management → Home energy features.
Use the search field to narrow the list. The table shows these columns: Account, ID, Operator, EVSEs, Integrations, Power, and Ongoing charges.
Select a row to open the home.
The header of the home shows Account: with a link to the account.
How do I create a home?
Most homes are created by the homeowner in the Monta Charge app. Create a home in the Hub only when you set one up for a customer. The New button is rolling out, so it may be missing for your operator.
Go to Energy management → Home energy features and select New.
In step 1, Select an account, choose the account the home belongs to. The list only shows accounts in your current scope.
In step 2, Attach EVSEs, pick the EVSEs to attach.
Select Create home.
The Hub opens the new home. Set up integrations and settings on the home page. For the settings and the live power view, see How do I configure home energy settings and read a home's power flow in the Hub?
The dialog stops you in two cases:
"This account already has a home." Select View home to open it.
"This account has no EVSEs. Add one to the account first, then create its home."
How do I add or remove EVSEs on a home?
Open the home. On the EVSEs card, select Manage EVSEs.
Tick the EVSEs to keep on the home. Clear the tick on the EVSEs to remove. To find an EVSE, use Search by name, identity, or model.
Select Save changes.
You can only select EVSEs that support solar charging or Current Transformer (CT) clamps. Other EVSEs are marked Solar / CT clamps off or No identity.
A home must keep at least one EVSE. To remove the last EVSE, delete the home. See How do I delete a home?
EVSEs with CT clamps show a CT clamp badge.
How do I set the phase mode of an EVSE?
Open the home. On the EVSEs card, find the EVSE row.
In the phase mode field, choose Auto, 1-phase, 3-phase, or Auto phase switching.
The Hub saves the change right away.
If you choose Auto phase switching, the field Minimum interval (s) appears. It sets the minimum seconds between automatic 1-phase and 3-phase switches. Enter a value from 1 to 86400. The default is 300.
How do I add an integration?
Open the home. On the Integrations card, select Add integration.
Pick the integration type.
Fill in the fields for that type. See the list below.
Select Set up.
Measurement devices:
CT clamps: choose the EVSE identity. The home needs an EVSE with CT clamps.
Saveeye: enter the Serial number, the Device ID, or both. You must enter at least one.
Powerfox: enter the Username and Password.
Stromleser: enter the Device ID. The PIN is optional.
Solar integrations:
Solar inverter: marked Only available in app. The homeowner sets it up in the Monta Charge app.
Solar panels: enter Declination (°), Azimuth (°), and Peak power (kW). For declination, 0° is flat and 90° is vertical. For azimuth, 0° is south, -90° is east, and 90° is west.
Static limit: turn on the Status switch. A static limit sets a fixed-amperage limit for fuse protection when no live meter feeds data.
How do I edit an integration?
On the Integrations card, select the pencil icon on the integration.
In Edit integration, change the values.
Select Save.
You cannot edit Solar inverter. You also cannot edit Solar panels when the home has more than one panel.
The Hub does not show saved credentials. The fields show "Credentials already set — enter new values to update." Enter new values only when you want to change them.
To keep the current Saveeye serial number, leave Serial number blank.
How do I remove an integration?
On the Integrations card, select the trash icon on the integration.
In Remove integration?, select Remove.
The Hub shows: "This disconnects the integration from this home. Any data this integration provides will stop. The home itself stays. This cannot be undone."
How do I delete a home?
Open the home and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Under Delete this home, select Delete home.
Select Delete home again to confirm.
Deleting a home removes all home configuration and home energy data for the account. Other account data is not affected. You cannot undo this.
What happens when the account of a home is deleted?
The home stays connected. The home page shows an Account deleted alert with a Delete home shortcut, and the account is marked Deleted. Use the shortcut to remove the home.
