Set a public display name for your operator

Show drivers and roaming partners a different name than your registered company name.

Help Center / Monta Hub / Roaming / Set a public display name for your operator

Show drivers and roaming partners a different name than your registered company name.

By default, roaming partners and drivers using other apps see your operator name — not necessarily your registered company name. If those names differ, you can set a public display name so partners and drivers see the name you want them to see.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open the General tab.
  3. In the Roaming section, find the Public display name field.
  4. Enter the name you want drivers and roaming partners to see.
  5. Click Save.

What it does

  • The public display name replaces your operator name wherever your charge points are shown to drivers in other apps and to roaming partners.
  • It does not change your registered company name, your operator name, or anything else in your Monta settings — it only affects what is shown externally through roaming.
  • Changes take effect quickly — you do not need to wait for the next scheduled sync.
  • This only affects what is published to roaming partners. If your operator is not actively sharing charge points over roaming, setting a public display name has no visible effect.

If you manage sub-operators

Each operator — your main operator or any sub-operator — sets its own public display name. A name set on a parent operator does not carry down to its sub-operators automatically. To show a custom name for a specific sub-operator, set it directly on that sub-operator own settings.

If you leave it blank

Nothing changes — partners and drivers continue to see your existing operator name, as before.
