How do I manage a Team Wallet?

Learn how to deposit or withdraw money, add a bank account, export transactions and receipts, refund charges, and enable Operator Transaction as a payment method.

How do I deposit money into the Team Wallet?

Only Team Owners and Team Admins with Wallet management rights can deposit funds. Deposits are not possible if Operator Transaction is enabled as the payment method.

  1. Open the Team and go to the Payment tab.
  2. Navigate to Wallet and click the three action dots.
  3. Select Deposit funds.
  4. Select an amount and click Deposit.
  5. Complete the payment via the Stripe payment page that opens, using a bank card.

How do I withdraw money from the Team Wallet?

Only Team Owners and Team Admins with Wallet management rights can withdraw funds. Withdrawals are not possible if Operator Transaction is enabled as the payment method.

  1. Open the Team and go to Payment.
  2. Click the three action dots and select Withdraw funds.
  3. Select an amount to withdraw.
    • Withdrawal limits vary by currency.
  4. Enter your bank account details or select an existing one.
  5. Click Withdraw.

How do I add a bank account?

Only IBAN format bank accounts are supported. If you cannot edit a bank account, contact your Operator.

  1. Open the Team and select the Payment tab.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Select + Add bank account.
  4. Enter your bank details and click Save.

How do I export Wallet transactions?

Only the Team Owner and Team Admins with Wallet configuration rights can export transactions.

  1. Open the Team and select the Payment tab.
  2. Click Transactions and filter by time period.
  3. Click the three dots and select Export to receive a CSV file by email.

How do I export Wallet receipts?

Only the Team Owner and Team Admins with Wallet configuration rights can export receipts. Receipts can be exported for a maximum of 365 days and up to 10,000 transactions.

  1. Open the Team and select the Payment tab.
  2. Click Transactions and filter by time period.
  3. Click the three dots and select Export receipts to receive a ZIP file by email.

How do I refund a Wallet transaction?

Only the Team Owner and Team Admins with Wallet configuration rights can issue refunds. You can refund the full amount or a partial amount. Refunds are issued to the user's Monta Wallet. If the user was a guest (no account), they need to create an account with the same email to access the refund.

  1. Open the Team and find Transactions.
  2. Search for the transaction by ID or name.
  3. Click the three action dots and select Refund transaction.
  4. Fill in the required fields and add a note.
  5. Review the refund summary and click Refund to confirm.

How do I enable Operator Transaction as a payment method?

Operator Transaction can only be enabled by Operator users with Manager or Administrator rights. For full details on how this payment method works, see the Operator Transaction setup article.

  1. Open the Team and select the Payment tab.
  2. Click Settings and then Update billing method.
  3. Select Operator Transaction from the dropdown menu.

Once enabled:

  • The Team can go into negative Wallet balance.
  • A balance-settling transaction between the Operator and Team Wallet is issued at the end of the month.
  • Operator Transaction can be disabled from the Settings section of the Payment tab.

How do I restrict where the Team Wallet can be used?

Operators, Team Owners, and Admins can decide where the Team Wallet is allowed to pay for charging sessions. These limits apply to all members and charge keys unless narrower settings are defined at the member or charge key level.

  1. Go to Operator Settings → Team settings.
  2. Click + New team setting or click an existing setting to edit it.
  3. Fill in the Basic information and Member permissions.
  4. In the Wallet payment restrictions section, select one or more:
    • Allowed countries
    • Allowed charge points
  5. Click Apply team settings.
  6. Choose whether to apply settings to all members and charge keys, or keep current settings.

If a member or charge key tries to start a charge outside the allowed countries or operators, the session is blocked and a message explains that the Wallet cannot be used at that location.
