How do I set up my Monta Charge account?
Explains how to create an account, fill in your profile, set a passcode, add a bank account, and configure preferences in Monta Charge.

Follow these steps to create your account and complete your profile in Monta Charge.
Create an account
- Tap Create new account.
- Select a sign-in method:
- Phone number
- Apple, Google, or Microsoft account
- Accept the Terms & Conditions.
- Tap I'm ready!
Fill in your contact information
- Tap Me > Settings > Profile.
- Add your first and last name.
- Add and verify your email and phone number. Adding both ensures you can always access your account.
- Select your country, area, and address. Your address appears on receipts; your area determines electricity cost and tariffs.
Set a passcode
A passcode secures your Wallet payments in Monta.
- Tap Me > Settings > Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Passcode settings.
- Tap Set up passcode.
- Enter a 4-digit passcode, confirm it, and tap Save.
- Optionally, enable biometric recognition to use Face ID or fingerprint instead of typing the passcode.
Add a bank account
A bank account is required to withdraw funds from your Monta Wallet. If you need to change your bank account, delete the old one and add a new one.
- Tap Me > Settings > Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Bank account.
- Enter your IBAN and tap Save. Only IBAN format is supported.
Set your language
- Tap Me > Settings > Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Language.
- Select a language and tap Save.

In your profile settings you can also:
- Find your user ID
- Set your preferred distance unit
- Manage email and marketing preferences
- Enable beta access
- Request account deletion
