This guide covers adding and connecting charge points in Monta Hub one at a time. This approach is recommended for sites with a small number of charge points. For larger deployments, use the bulk add function.

How do I add a charge point to a team?

Adding a charge point creates a placeholder in Monta that links the charge point to a team and determines where charging revenue is recorded.

1. Open the team in Monta Hub.
   • You can also start from the Charge points menu and select the team from there.
2. Click Add a charge point and select Add one charge point.
3. Select the brand and model of the charge point.
4. Select the connector type(s).
5. Select the charging site to add the charge point to.
   • You can add it to an existing site. See the charging sites article for more information about sites.
6. Name the charge point.
7. Select the charge point's accessibility:
   • Private — only team members can access the charge point.
   • Public — the charge point is visible on the Monta map for all electric vehicle (EV) drivers.
   • Set charge point active — enables full functionality as a paid charge point.
8. Choose whether to Connect now.
   • You can also connect the charge point later or use an installer link.

How do I connect a charge point via OCPP?

Some charge points require you to install Monta on the hardware before connecting. Check the integration guides section of the help centre for your charge point brand.

1. Find and open the Passive charge point in Monta Hub.
2. Click Connect now.
3. Enter the serial number of the charge point.
4. Review the charge point information and click Yes, pair charge point.
5. Wait for the connection to be established.
6. Your charge point is now connected.

How do I connect a charge point via Cloud?

1. Find and open the Passive charge point in Monta Hub.
2. Click Connect now.
3. Select the Cloud integration option.
4. Log in with your Cloud credentials.
5. Select the correct charge point.
6. Click Yes, pair charge point.
7. Your charge point is now connected and ready to charge.

How do I connect a charge point with two sockets?

If your charge point has two or more sockets, add each socket as a separate charge point.

1. Add the first socket as a charge point (follow the steps above).
2. Click Connect now.
3. Select the OCPP integration option.
4. Select the correct socket position (Connector).
5. Complete the connection process.
6. Repeat from step 1 for each additional socket.
