For: Operators using Monta Hub
This article explains how to check and update the firmware on your charge points from Monta Hub.
What is firmware?
Firmware is the software installed on your charge point hardware. Keeping firmware up to date ensures your charge points run reliably and support the latest features.
Check the firmware version
- Go to Charge points in Monta Hub.
- Select a charge point.
- Go to the Details tab.
- Look for the Firmware version field.
Trigger a firmware update
If an update is available, you can trigger it remotely:
- Go to Charge points in Monta Hub.
- Select a charge point.
- Go to the Remote actions tab.
- Select Update firmware.
- Confirm the action.
The charge point downloads and installs the update. This may take several minutes. The charge point restarts after the update completes.
Notes
- Not all charge point brands support remote firmware updates via Monta. Check your charge point documentation.
- Schedule updates during low-usage periods to avoid interrupting active sessions.
- If the update fails, try again or contact your charge point manufacturer.
