This is an early access feature. The Firmware updates tab and Create bulk update may not appear on every operator. The page is not generally available.
Bulk firmware update lets you update firmware on multiple charging stations at once, with control over rollout strategy, failure handling, and scheduling.
Where do I find it?
In Hub, go to CPO / Network → Firmware updates (/firmware-updates). The page has two tabs:
- Charging stations — pick stations and start a bulk update.
- Firmware updates (Early access) — jobs you have already created.
How do I find stations?
On the Charging stations tab you can:
- Search by identity or name.
- Filter by Brand, Model, Current firmware, and Updating to.
How do I start a bulk update?
- Select stations with the per-row checkboxes, or use select-all. Only stations with an available firmware update can be selected.
- Select Create bulk update.
The batch modal lists the stations you picked, labelled Charging stations (Total N).
From there you choose a rollout strategy, failure handling, and an optional schedule, then confirm. Opening Initiate update can be blocked depending on the account — if it is, you will not start a job.
Rollout strategy
- All at once — all selected stations in parallel.
- One at a time — one station at a time across all locations.
- One per location at a time — one station per location at a time. Locations run in parallel.
Failure handling
- Continue on failure — skip a failed station and continue.
- Stop on first failure — pause that location if a station fails. Other locations continue.
Schedule (optional)
You can start immediately, or set a maintenance window. Times follow each station location's local time.
How do I check a job?
Open the Firmware updates tab. Columns include Batch ID, Created, Rollout strategy, On failure, and Schedule. Open a row to see the batch modal.
The modal uses these status tiles: Scheduled, Planned, In progress, Succeeded, Failed, Canceled.
How do I cancel a batch?
A red Cancel batch control is in the batch modal. Use that — it is not on the jobs list row.
