How do I use a public installer page?

This guide is for installers who have received a public installer link and need to complete an installation job, including updating charge point details, running remote tests, and marking the job as complete.

For: Installers who have received a public installer link from an operator

The installer page is a public link generated by the operator for a specific installation job. Open it in any browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop. No Monta login is required.

From the installer page you can:

  • View job and site details
  • Edit charge point serial numbers and connector positions
  • Check connection status
  • Perform remote test actions
  • Add notes for the operator
  • Mark the installation job as complete

1. Open the installer job

  1. Open the public installer link provided by the operator.
  2. The installer job opens in your browser. No login is required.
  3. At the top of the page, review:
    • Installer job number and status
    • Charging site name
    • Job description and installation instructions
    • Total number of charge points on the site
    • How many charge points are currently connected (for example, 8 / 14 connected)

2. Update charge point details

Each charge point is listed in a table with its current configuration and status.

Edit the serial number

  1. Locate the charge point in the list.
  2. In the Charge Point Identity field, enter the correct serial number.

Select the connector position

  1. Locate the charge point in the list.
  2. In the Connector field, select the correct connector number.
  3. Verify the selected connector matches the physical installation.

3. Check charge point status

Each charge point shows a Status value indicating its configuration and connection state.

Validation messages indicate configuration issues:

  • No serial — no serial number is set for the charge point.
  • Serial is in use by: [Team Name] — the serial number is already assigned to a charge point on another team.

If no validation issues exist, the status reflects the charge point's connection state. Possible states include:

  • connected
  • disconnected
  • error
  • pending
  • Not connected (no integration configured)
  • no_integration

When the charge point state differs from the integration state, the status shows both: for example, connected (available) or disconnected (maintenance).

4. Perform remote actions

  1. Locate the charge point you want to test.
  2. Select Remote actions.
  3. Choose from the available actions:
    • Start — start a charging session to test the installation
    • Stop — stop an active charging session
    • Unlock — unlock the connector
    • Reboot — restart the charge point

5. Add notes on a charge point

  1. Locate the charge point in the list.
  2. Select Notes.
  3. Enter your message in the Installer note field.
  4. Select Save.

6. Mark the installation job as complete

  1. Review all charge points to confirm they are correctly installed and tested.
  2. Confirm that serial numbers and connector positions are correct.
  3. Select Mark as complete.
  4. Review the Activate All Charge Points option in the confirmation dialog:
    • By default this option is checked, meaning all inactive charge points will be activated when the job is completed.
    • Uncheck this option if you do not want charge points to be activated immediately.
  5. Confirm completion of the job.
Important: By default, completing the job activates all inactive charge points in the group. Only disable this option if the site should remain inactive after installation.
