What are Nested Teams?

Nested Teams allow you to invite another Team to access the charge points in your Team at a specified price. The inviting Team is the Parent Team and the accepting Team is the Nested Team.

A Nested Team's members get access to the Parent Team's charge points and pay a specific price for charging. This means a user only needs to be a member of one Team, and that Team can be nested under multiple Parent Teams. All actions described in this article can only be performed by a Team Owner.

Example

You have a Team called "Work Depot" with 10 charge points. You also have 3 separate Teams — Location 1 (5 members), Location 2 (3 members), and Location 3 (10 members). Instead of inviting all 18 members to Work Depot individually, you can invite the 3 Teams as Nested Teams and even set a different charging price for each.

As a Parent Team, you can:

• Invite Nested Teams
• Manage charge point access per Nested Team
• Apply a specific Price Group per Nested Team
• Remove Nested Teams
• Accept to become a Nested Team under another Parent Team

As a Nested Team, you can:

• Accept an invitation from a Parent Team
• Charge on the charge points shared by the Parent Team
• Leave the Parent Team
• Invite a Nested Team under your own Team

How do I invite a Nested Team?

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click the + button.
3. Select Invite Nested Team.
4. Enter the Team Join code to search for the Team.
5. Confirm it is the correct Team and proceed.
6. Select which charge points to share.
7. Click Invite and wait for the Nested Team to accept.

How do I find my team’s join code?

1. Open Monta Hub
2. Click on Teams in the left-side menu
3. Select your team
4. Select Settings
5. Find the Team Invitation Settings section

How do I give or revoke charge point access for a Nested Team?

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click Nested Teams.
3. Open the Nested Team and scroll down to Charge point access.
4. Click the action dots and select Give access or Revoke access.

How do I change the Price Group for a Nested Team?

Nested Teams are assigned the Default Member Price Group when invited. To change it:

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click Nested Teams.
3. Open the Nested Team to access its Settings.
4. Click the three action dots in the Member Price Group field.
5. Click Charge Price Group and select or create a new Member Price Group.

How do I remove a Nested Team?

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click Nested Teams.
3. Click the three action dots on the Nested Team.
4. Select Remove Nested Team.

How do I accept a Parent Team invitation?

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click Parent Teams.
3. Click the three action dots and select Accept invitation.

How do I leave a Parent Team?

1. Open the Team and select the Members & Access tab.
2. Select the Members tab and click Parent Teams.
3. Click the three action dots and select Leave this team.
