Where do I create a discount?
In Hub, go to Pricing & Growth → Promotion codes (/promotions). There is no separate Discounts page.
Create is one wizard: Incentive → Rules → Eligibility → Distribution → Review.
On Incentive, the types are Percentage-discount and Voucher. Percentage-discount is the discount type — not its own nav item.
Promotion codes let operators offer discounts to electric vehicle (EV) drivers on their charge points. You can create and manage multiple promotion codes directly from Monta Hub. Only Operator-level users can create, edit, or delete promotion codes.
Manage promotion codes in Monta Hub
In Monta Hub, promotion codes are under Pricing & Growth. The create and edit flow also adds three options: optional limits, vouchers, and auto-redeem.
How do I create a promotion code?
In Monta Hub, go to Pricing & Growth → Promotion codes.
Click Create promotion code.
Enter a name. The name is internal and only your account sees it in the Hub.
Enter a code, or use the generate button to create a random one. Use at least 8 characters.
Optionally, add a description shown to drivers.
Choose the discount type — a percentage discount or a voucher. For a percentage discount, enter the discount percentage applied to each charging session; to set up a voucher instead, see How do I create a voucher? below.
Under Eligible charging stations, choose whether the code applies to any charging station or only selected ones.
Optionally, set restrictions such as an expiry date, maximum redemptions, and a limit per user.
Click Create code.
How do I create a voucher?
A voucher gives drivers a fixed amount of free charging, such as €15 free charging.
Create a promotion code.
For the discount type, select Voucher instead of Percentage discount.
Enter the amount you want to give, for example €15.
Save the code.
Drivers charge for free until they use up the value. In the promotion codes list, you can filter by Voucher to find these codes.
What optional limits can I set on a promotion code?
Both promotion types have optional limits that control how much a code can give away. Set them on the Rules step of the create or edit flow, under Optional limits. Leave a limit off and the code has no limit of that kind.
Budget cap (percentage discounts)
A budget cap limits what a percentage discount can cover. It is not available for vouchers. A voucher is already limited by its credit amount.
On the Rules step, find Optional limits and turn on Budget cap.
Choose the unit: money or kWh (kilowatt-hour).
Enter the amount in Budget cap amount.
Save the code.
A money cap limits what each driver can save. The code stops applying for a driver once the cap is reached.
A kWh cap limits the energy the promotion covers. Choose when it resets: Never (lifetime) or Every calendar month.
For a kWh cap, you can also turn on Include home charging to count charging at your own charging stations toward the cap.
The kWh option appears only when it is enabled for your account. The budget cap is fixed once the promotion has been used.
Limit charges per driver (percentage discounts and vouchers)
This limit caps how many charges each driver can use the promotion on.
On the Rules step, find Optional limits and turn on Limit charges per driver.
Enter the number of charges per driver.
Save the code.
For a voucher, the limit sets how many charges the voucher credit can be spent across. For example, a limit of 3 means a driver can spend the credit across up to 3 charges.
If you do not see the budget cap on a percentage discount, the feature may not be available for your account yet.
How do I distribute a promotion?
There are three ways to get a promotion to drivers. You can use more than one for the same promotion.
Share the code: give drivers the code. They enter it themselves to redeem the promotion.
Apply to specific users or accounts: use Or apply this promotion directly to specific users to add the code to chosen users or accounts. Select Apply to all existing users to apply it to everyone.
Auto-redeem for new sign-ups: turn on Auto-redeem for new sign-ups so new users who sign up through your application receive the code automatically.
When a code is applied automatically, drivers receive an in-app notification confirming the offer is active, for example "You've received 10% off charging".
How do I edit, copy, or delete a code?
In Monta Hub, go to Growth → Promotion codes.
Open the code, or use its action menu.
Select edit, copy, or delete. Some fields lock once a code has been redeemed.
Managing promotion codes in the old Hub
The old Hub is being phased out — the new Monta Hub is now the default. These steps remain temporarily; switch to the new Hub from the user menu when you can.
What can I configure on a promotion code?
Name — A label for the code
Code — A unique 8-character code that drivers enter to redeem the discount
Description — Optional text shown to the driver when they redeem the code
Discount — The discount percentage applied to the charging session
Start and end date — The active period of the code
Total redemption limit — The maximum number of times the code can be used
Per-user usage limit — The maximum number of times a single driver can redeem the code
Team restriction — Limits the code to charge points within a specific Team
How do I create a promotion code?
In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
Click Create Promotion code.
Enter a name for the code.
Optionally, add a description that drivers will see when redeeming the code.
Enter a unique 8-character code.
Enter the discount amount as a percentage (%).

Click Create Promotion code.
How do I edit a promotion code?
You can edit a promotion code as long as it has not expired and its redemption limit has not been reached.
In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
Find the promotion code and click the three-dot action menu next to it.
Select Edit.
Make your changes and click Save changes.
How do I copy or delete a promotion code?
In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
Find the promotion code and click the three-dot action menu next to it.
Select Copy to duplicate it, or Delete to remove it.
