This article explains how to create a Professional or Private Team in Monta Hub, and describes the purpose of each team type.

What is a Team?

A Team is a group or organization that manages various aspects of EV charging, such as charge points, users, permissions, and payments. Teams can be set up for different purposes, including professional operations, fleet management, or private use.

In Monta Hub, you can create a Professional or a Private Team. To create a Fleet Operations Team or an Operator Team, see the relevant articles in the help center.

Create a Professional Team

A Professional Team is suitable for a variety of use cases including Housing association, Parking, Hotel, Fleet, and Company. It is used to manage charge point access and Team Wallet funds shared with multiple users at once.

When created under Monta Operator, the Team starts with a Basic Monta Plan, which can be upgraded. When created under another Operator, the Team inherits that Operator's Monta Plan.

1. In the Teams section of Monta Hub, click on + Add Team.
2. Select Professional Team.
3. Fill in the team name, a contact email, and a finance email.
4. Select a tag that represents the type of Team.
5. Fill in company information and the address of the Team.
6. Click on Create Team.

Create a Private Team

A Private Team is intended for private users who want to use Monta to charge. For example, an Operator can create a Private Team for an EV driver with a charge point and apply a service subscription.

1. In the Teams section of Monta Hub, click on + Add Team.
2. Select Private Team.
3. Fill in the address and contact information.
4. Click on Create Team.
