Monta AI connects directly to Monta’s internal and external APIs, data warehouses, and log clusters. It uses these secure sources to retrieve the same data Monta engineers use for debugging and analysis, including OCPP logs, firmware data, and smart charging telemetry.
No. Data processed by Monta AI is sent to our AI provider partner for analysis but is never stored or retained by them. Once the analysis or response is completed, the data is immediately discarded from the AI provider’s systems. All data remains securely stored only within Monta’s platform and is never shared with or retained by external systems.
Monta AI is built according to GDPR guidelines. Monta is also certified ISO27001, and SOC type 1 and 2.
Monta AI operates under the same authentication framework as Monta’s CSMS. When you use the Monta AI, it acts on your behalf using your credentials, and all actions are specifically logged as agent-assisted actions performed under your account. This ensures that it only accesses data you are authorised to see.
Currently, Monta AI operates in read-only mode, meaning it can analyse and retrieve information but cannot modify configurations or execute operational changes. In the future, we plan to introduce AI-assisted actions that will enable more automated workflows. However, even as these capabilities expand, the human operator will always remain in control. Monta AI will recommend actions, but you will decide whether to execute them.
