We evaluate all charge points in our network on a set of important criteria: uptime, charge success, user satisfaction, and overall performance score. These play into their overall ranking on our supported charge points list.
Performance score
A charge point model’s overall performance score is calculated once a day by combining its uptime, charge success, and user satisfaction rates.
The model with the highest 30-day rolling average is ranked first on our supported charge points list. The lower the rolling average, the further down the list it ranks.

Charge success rate
Once a driver starts charging their vehicle, we can track the Charge Success Rate. This is the percentage of sessions that result in a successful energy transfer to a vehicle. In other words, it shows how reliable a specific charge point model is, which is critical for drivers, charge point operators, and manufacturers alike.

User satisfaction rate
User reviews have a major impact on a brand. EV drivers can report their satisfaction and provide direct feedback in the Monta platform about their latest charge session. Based on a scale of 1 to 5 and then converted to a percentage, the User Satisfaction Rate is the average rating on a charge point model.

Uptime rate
Few things are more important to an EV driver than arriving at a charge point and feeling confident that it will work. A charge point’s Uptime Rate tells drivers and hardware manufacturers alike how often a specific model is available for service. And with more regulatory bodies requiring that we report hardware uptime, this is an essential measure.
To give you the most accurate data, we look at all instances of a charge point model and have defined when we start and stop measuring uptime.
