How to set up starting fees, charging fees, per-minute fees, and idle fees on price groups in Monta, including when each fee applies and how to configure stop conditions.
You can add additional charging fees on top of the base price when creating price groups. Not all fee types are supported for all price groups or charge point models. For an overview of price group types and pricing types, see How do I set up pricing for EV drivers?

- Grace periods (optional): times and days when no idle fee is charged, for example overnight or on weekends and public holidays. See below.

Grace periods
A grace period is a time window when the idle fee is not charged. Use it when it is fine for cars to stay plugged in, for example overnight at a residential or hotel location, or all weekend at an office car park, when nobody is waiting to charge. You choose the times and the days each grace period applies on, including public holidays.
- How to add one: in the idle fee, go to Grace periods. Click the 24-hour bar to add a period and drag its ends to set the times, or enter the From and To times in the list below it.
- All day: select All day to waive the fee for the whole day, for example on weekends.
- Days: each grace period has Mon–Sun buttons and a Public holidays toggle. Pick the days yourself or use a preset: Every day, Weekdays, Weekends or Weekends and public holidays. A new grace period applies every day.
- Overnight periods: a period can cross midnight, for example 22:00 to 07:00. It belongs to the day it starts on: a Friday 22:00–07:00 period also covers early Saturday morning.
- Several periods: you can add more than one. Periods can't overlap on the same day, but the same hours on different days are fine. A clash is shown in red, and you can't save until you fix it.
- Week at a glance: once a grace period is limited to certain days, a week view shows when the fee is waived on each weekday and on public holidays. Overnight periods that continue into the next morning are striped.
- Local time: grace periods follow the charge point's local time.
- What happens during a grace period: idle minutes inside the period are free. Idle minutes outside it are charged, up to the maximum total idle fee if you set one.

Example: idle fee 0.20 EUR per minute, apply after 15 minutes. Grace period 1 is 22:00–07:00 Monday to Thursday, and grace period 2 is all day on weekends and public holidays.
- A car that finishes charging at 21:30 on a Tuesday and is unplugged at 08:00 on Wednesday pays for 21:45–22:00 (15 minutes) and 07:00–08:00 (60 minutes): 75 minutes × 0.20 EUR = 15.00 EUR.
- A car left plugged in from Saturday morning until Sunday evening pays nothing.
- On a Friday night, grace period 1 doesn't apply, so idle minutes until midnight are charged. From midnight, Saturday's all-day grace period applies.
Public holidays
Turn on Public holidays on a grace period to waive the fee on public holidays too. A public holiday also gets the grace periods of the weekday it falls on.
- Which country's holidays: each charge point uses the public holidays of the country it's in. Not your operator's country, the price group's country or the driver's. So one price group can cover several countries: a charge point in Germany skips the fee on German holidays, and one in Denmark on Danish holidays.
- See the dates: select Public holidays at the top of the grace periods, on the week view or next to a grace period's toggle. The calendar shows each country's holidays for the year.
- Change the calendar: national public holidays are kept up to date automatically. To add your own days, such as a local festival or a company closing day, or to remove a public holiday you stay open on, select Change holidays in operator settings, or go to your operator settings and open the Public holidays tab. Your changes apply on top of the national holidays.

The public price shows the days next to each grace period, for example "22:00 → 06:00 Mon–Thu" or "All day · Weekends and public holidays". The price simulator applies grace periods on the right weekdays, but it doesn't know which dates are public holidays, so a grace period set only for public holidays never applies there.
Roaming price groups: the maximum total idle fee and grace periods are not available.
Minute fee: the minute fee can start after a set number of minutes, but it does not support a maximum amount or grace periods.
