How to sign up individual or bulk charge points for PowerBank, including special requirements for Swedish charge points, and how to stop participating.
PowerBank is a Monta service that allows compatible charge points to participate in energy flexibility programmes.
PowerBank is available for charge points located in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, and Ireland.
Charge points in Denmark East (DK2) are automatically enrolled in PowerBank. To opt out, follow the steps in the "Stop participating" section below.
From 11 May 2026, end users with Monta as their operator receive Home+ features when their charge point is enrolled in PowerBank. Charging credit payouts have stopped for these users. See How do I manage PowerBank in Monta Charge? for the end-user view.
Who can sign up charge points for PowerBank?
- Operator level: Operator Admins and Operator Managers
- Account level: Account Owners and Account Admins with permission to configure charge points
Which charge points are compatible?
Only specific brands and models are compatible with PowerBank. Check compatibility on the supported charge points page. Incompatible charge points are also flagged during the sign-up flow.
Sign up charge points in bulk
You can sign up multiple charge points at once if they are in the same account.
- Open the account and select the PowerBank tab.
- Read the terms and conditions carefully.
- To sign up all eligible charge points, click Bulk subscribe. To sign up specific charge points, select them in the table and click Subscribe.
Sign up a single charge point
- Open the EVSEs tab and click to open a charge point.
- Click Settings and find Grid / PowerBank.
- Read the terms and conditions carefully.
- Click Subscribe.
Sign up a charge point in Sweden
Swedish charge points require a Facility ID (meter ID) before they can be enrolled in PowerBank.
- Open the charge point, go to the Details tab, and enter the Meter ID under Identifiers. Sign-up is not possible without this number.
- Open the account and select the PowerBank tab.
- Read the terms and conditions carefully.
- Click Bulk subscribe to sign up all eligible charge points, or select individual charge points in the table and click Subscribe. Charge points without a Meter ID show as ineligible until it's added.
Stop participating in PowerBank
Open the charge point, go to Settings, find Grid / PowerBank, and click Unsubscribe.
