When creating a price group, you can add an hourly electricity transportation tariff to reflect variable electricity or grid costs throughout the day.

• Tariffs apply to public, member, and roaming price groups.
• They allow you to reflect real-time electricity pricing in your charging rates.
• They support dynamic changes throughout the day, such as peak versus off-peak rates.
• For roaming price groups, VAT (value-added tax) is not included in the tariff amount — it is added at the point of payment.

You can choose from the public tariff library or build a custom hourly tariff.

Access hourly tariffs

1. Select the Price Group tab of a team.
2. Click to edit the price group.
3. Toggle on Hourly tariff and click to add one.

Select a tariff from the public library

1. Select the Public library tab.
2. Click to view the graph of a tariff and see how the price changes.
3. Select the tariff you need (you can select multiple).
4. Click Select and review the tariff as part of the price group.
5. Click Save changes.

Build a custom hourly tariff

Use the custom tariff builder if you want to include specific time-based rates in a price group. You can also use it to automatically switch between member price groups based on the time of day — for example, different rates for day and night.

1. Select the My custom tariffs tab and click to create a tariff.
2. Name the tariff and specify whether your rates include VAT.
3. Select a Season range — the period when the tariff applies.
4. Create the tariff rates — the additional rates that apply dynamically on top of the base price.
5. Set the Daily schedule — how the rates are applied during the day.
6. Click Save and then Select the tariff.
7. Review how the tariff is applied in the price group and click Save changes.

Add a tariff to a roaming price group

Adding a tariff to a roaming price group follows the same steps as other price group types, with one difference: VAT is not included in the tariff amount. VAT is added at the point of payment.

1. Open Monta Hub and go to the Price Groups page for your team.
2. Under Roaming Price Groups, select the price group to update, or click New Roaming Price Group to create one.
3. Expand the Hourly tariff section and click Add tariff.
4. Choose a tariff from the Public library tab, or select My custom tariffs to build a new one.
5. Select the tariff and click Select.
6. Click Save changes.

The tariff applies to all charges made through roaming platforms using this price group.
