With 16+ years of experience, The Mobility House Solutions (part of The Mobility House group) possesses market-leading knowledge of EV charging solutions. Their customers range from corporate and logistic fleets to the real estate and automobile industries, as well as charging station operators. The Mobility House Solutions offers tailor-made and future-proof charging solutions from planning to operational stages, using their knowledge from more than 2400 realised projects to fully support companies in their transition to electric and sustainable mobility.
To achieve this, The Mobility House Solutions has developed their own charging and energy management system, ChargePilot®, to become a hardware-independent, reliable, and cost-optimised foundation for their customers’ operations. Their highly scalable technology provides customers with standardised interfaces that enable the seamless integration of various charging stations and third-party systems as needed. With ChargePilot®, The Mobile House Solutions is rapidly moving towards their ultimate goal: providing all of their customers with a holistic EV charging solution, however complex their needs are.

The challenge
In 2021, The Mobility House Solutions began integrating a white label charge point management system (CPMS) with ChargePilot® to serve their workplace charging customers’ billing-related challenges. They also used this CPMS fortheir home-charging customers, and began to investigate the potential use cases for real estate projects as well. However, they soon realised that their range of provided services for property owners, property managers and tenants was quite narrow, both technically and regarding customer support in the CPMS environment.
By the end of 2023, The Mobility House Solutions decided to switch to a new, more sophisticated CPMS – a platform capable of handling their existing real estate projects. They were also eager to expand their services and grow their customer base by partnering with an established, yet fast-moving partner in the electric mobility space.
Why The Mobility House Solutions chose Monta
After comparing several CPMS providers based on their specific requirements and use cases (especially their ongoing MUD (multi-unit dwelling) and commercial real estate projects), The Mobility House Solutions finally decided on Monta as their new billing backend platform. Monta’s technology not only satisfied The Mobility House Solutions’ needs for a logical and consistent billing process, clear customer roles and tariff and fee management: Monta also provided The Mobility House Solutions with features that enhanced ChargePilot® as the technical backbone in several new ways.
Monta’s expansive range of features ensured that The Mobility House Solutions could both satisfy customer needs and streamline the customer experience. The built-in operator and team structures clarified the many roles and responsibilities of different parties involved in the charging process. Additionally, Monta’s EV driver app environment provided users with a full overview and extensive insights. It also offered an option to join teams via “join codes.” Furthermore, the Monta Wallet added another layer of convenience, enhancing the overall user experience.

The results
Once The Mobility House Solutions began their partnership with Monta in December 2023, they immediately started the transition process between their old CPMS and Monta’s new technology. The first site powered by Monta went live just three months later, in March 2024. Because the ChargePilot® solution allowed the switching of the backend platforms to happen within seconds (and fully remotely), several new sites followed in quick succession, and all existing ChargePilot® sites were transferred within three months of the first. The Mobility House Solutions was also able to introduce the brand new category of commercial properties to their portfolio, thanks to the quick onboarding processes and new features afforded by Monta’s technology.
While managing these transitions, The Mobility House Solutions also decided to explore Monta’s new features with their fleet customers. Monta’s CPMS easily mirrored fleet customers’ complex organizational structures and met their requirements. With this full-service offering, The Mobility House Solutions could now enable its customers to focus on their business goals. Instead of worrying about charging infrastructure, charge keys, or customer support, they could direct their attention to what truly mattered.
With the transition of existing customers, as well as their newly won projects, The Mobility House Solutions succeeded in adding 1000 charge points to their new and improved platform in less than 12 months. The number of charge points at their MUD sites has quadrupled since using Monta’s technology, and even though real estate projects typically have a longer duration, they already have seven commercial property sites equipped for multiple use cases (like roaming, private car charging, fleet charging etc.), with more on the way.
