Nayax terminals are supported in Monta through a cloud-based OCPI integration. Monta has built a direct connection to Nayax, allowing you to attach terminals to your charge points directly from the Monta platform. This enables physical payments with no integration efforts required from you—Monta handles the backend, terminal ownership, and revenue collection.
Key features
- Real-time revenue: The transactions are instantly recorded to your Monta Wallet.
- Monta-managed: Terminals are owned by Monta. You do not need to contract with Nayax.
- Roaming setup: Terminals are labeled as Roaming in Monta and visible in the Roaming dashboards - this is due to the integration being based on OCPI.
- Terminal models supported:
- Nayax VPOS Touch Compact, card-based terminal.
- Please note: Kiosk-mode not supported: One terminal per charge point. - Nayax Kiosk Large-screen terminal with integrated touchscreen.
- Kiosk-mode supported: One terminal can manage multiple charge points.
- Nayax VPOS Touch Compact, card-based terminal.
How It Works
- Attach terminal in Monta: Link a Nayax terminal to a site or charger in the Monta Portal (or Monta Hub after migration).
- Monta shares site info: Monta sends site details to Nayax via OCPI.
- Manual setup in the Nayax portal: For now, Monta does a manual setup in the Nayax backend.
- You're ready to go: The terminal becomes active, and data and payments flow directly into your Monta Wallet.
Setup & Ordering
Monta handles the setup. To order terminals and get started, contact us directly. We will configure and link the terminals to your charge points.
Pricing
The integration relies on OCPI, and the protocol dictates pricing flexibility, which means that only fixed kWh pricing is supported.
Receipts
Receipts can be issued via Monta’s receipt service or via Nayax, depending on the setup.
