You can set different access types on your charge points depending on who should be able to charge.

• Private — only team members can use the charge point.
• Public — all EV drivers can use the charge point and pay the price you set.
• Scheduled — the charge point switches between Public and Private visibility at defined times.

Set a charge point to public

1. Open the charge point in Monta Hub.
2. Click Pricing & Access.
3. Under Charge point accessibility, select Public from the drop-down menu.
4. Edit the price group using the three-dot action menu:
   • The Default price group is applied automatically.
   • Select Open price group to edit the current price group.
   • Select Change price group to assign a different price group.
5. Click Save changes.

Create a public price group

1. Open the team and go to the Price Groups tab.
2. Click Add new and select Public Price Group.
3. Fill in the price group details, including name, price amount, pricing type, and tariff. You can use dynamic pricing, additional charging fees, or an hourly tariff.
4. Click Save.

Apply a public price group to charge points

1. Open the team and go to Price Groups.
2. Click the three-dot action menu and select Apply to charge points and sites.
3. Select the charge points to use the price group and click Save.
4. To apply to an entire charging site, click Switch to charge sites, select the site, and click Save.

Show a charge point on the Monta map

Even if a charge point is set to Public, you can control whether it appears on the Monta map for EV drivers to discover.

1. Open the charge point in Monta Hub and click Pricing & Access.
2. Go to Show charge point on map:
   • Toggle on — all EV drivers can find the charge point on the Monta map.
   • Toggle off — the charge point is not visible on the map, but EV drivers with the link can still start a charge at the public price.

Create a scheduled access

Schedules let charge points switch between Private and Public visibility based on time. Combine schedules with Opening Hours for informational guidance alongside access control.

Note: Schedules apply to Monta users only and are not supported for roaming. The default visibility setting is used for roaming users.

1. Open the team in Monta Hub and click Schedules.
2. Click + New Schedule.
3. Enter a name and select the time zone where the schedule applies.
4. Select the default availability.
5. Under Scheduled changes, set when and how visibility changes:
   • Switch charge points between Public and Private.
   • Switch price groups at different times of day.
6. Select the charge points to apply the schedule to and click Save.

Edit charge point visibility in bulk

1. Open the team and select the Charge points tab.
2. Select some or all charge points.
3. Click Accessibility & pricing.
4. Select Public, Private, or Scheduled.
5. Click Save.

Enable in-app chat

When enabled, users see a "Chat with owner" interface in Monta Charge for sending messages directly to the charge point owner (not the operator).

1. Open the charge point and select Pricing & Access.
2. Scroll down and toggle on In-app chat.

Enable charge point reservation

Reservation lets EV drivers reserve your charge point for a fee via Monta Charge. The first 2 minutes are free; after that, drivers pay 50% of the estimated charging price per minute.

1. Open the charge point and select Pricing & Access.
2. Toggle on Charge point reservation.
3. Set the maximum reservation time.
4. Click Save.

Get the charge point deeplink

Every charge point added to Monta has a unique deeplink that can be used to start charging with or without the Monta Charge app. Share the link directly or use it to create a QR sticker.

1. Open the charge point and click Pricing & Access.
2. Scroll down and click Copy link.
3. Open it in a browser to view the charge point, and share as needed.
