Benchmarks

EV charging benchmarks for charge point operators

benchmarks

Monta Hub’s Benchmarks give operators two things most have never had: a daily Raise, Hold, or Lower pricing recommendation for every site, based on what competitors nearby are actually charging, and a view of how your network’s utilisation and reliability compare against an anonymised cohort of peers in your region.

For energy and operations — no separate systems to manage.

  • Load management and demand control
  • Smart charging and solar integration
  • All operational tools in a single interface

Session, site, and energy data — all addressable via API.

  • Charging sessions, power limits, and meter readings
  • Optimization settings through the same data structure you already use

External meters, solar, and charge points — single pane of glass.

  • External meters and solar inverters monitored alongside charge points
  • Uptime, driver issues, and hardware faults handled in one place
Two tools, one place

Know if your prices are right. Know if your network performs.

Both benchmarks live in Hub under Analytics. Both are read-only you stay in control of every decision.
Pricing benchmarks

A daily Raise, Hold, or Lower recommendation for every site.

Each site is plotted against the median price of neighboring charge points in its local market. The comparison updates daily. You see exactly where you stand and what to do without manually checking competitor apps.

Available in 10 markets: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France.

Network benchmarks

Compare your utilisation and reliability against an anonymised peer cohort.

See where your network sits in the distribution for your region energy output, sessions per station, revenue, charge success rate, failure rate, and uptime compared to peers with similar networks. No individual competitor data is ever exposed.

Available across Nordics, DACH, Benelux, UK & Ireland, South Europe, and North America.

Pricing benchmarks

Your market position, visible and actionable every day.

Operators have always set prices by checking competitor apps and guessing. Misfires only surface once utilisation or revenue starts to drift. Pricing benchmarks makes your market position visible before that happens and tells you exactly what to adjust.

Raise, Hold, or Lower, per site, every day

Each recommendation comes with a target price capped at 10% of your current rate. You decide whether to act on it.

Adaptive local market radius

The comparison uses nearby charge points with an adaptive radius tighter in cities, wider in rural areas, so it always reflects your actual competitive context.

Compare against peers, not just yourself.

Built into Hub. No setup required.

Both benchmarks are available directly in Monta Hub under Analytics. Access is controlled by your Hub role and feature flag status.
1

Data gathered continuously

Pricing data from ChargePrice, Hubject, OCPI, and internal Monta sites is aggregated by location and speed tier. Network data is computed from anonymised peer cohorts in your region.

2

Your position calculated daily

For pricing: each site’s position against the local market, with a Raise, Hold, or Lower recommendation and a target price within 10%. For network: your percentile across utilisation, revenue, and reliability metrics.

3

You review and decide

Every recommendation is advisory. You see the data, review the sites flagged for action, and apply any pricing changes yourself. Full control stays with your team.
