MVV Energie selects Monta to operate and scale 6,600+ EV charge points across Germany

Berlin, Germany – 24th September 2026 – one of Germany’s largest regional energy utilities, has selected Monta to operate and scale its EV charging business across Germany.

MVV Energie is migrating approximately 6,600 charge points to Monta, including more than 500 public charge points and close to 6,100 commercial and B2B charge points.

The move brings MVV Energie’s public and business charging operations onto a single platform covering charge point management, customers, pricing, payments, billing and reporting. This gives MVV Energie one operating environment as it expands across public, fleet, workplace and home charging.

The same platform also powers the MVV Energie eMotion app, MVV Energie’s fully branded white label app, across fleet, workplace and home charging. Features include AI chat support, push notifications, secure vehicle-data storage, Autocharge and Plug & Charge, as well as the ability for users to register personal wallboxes and home PV systems.

A key consideration in MVV Energie’s selection was Monta’s payment and wallet architecture. It allows the same customer to be associated with staff and private-customer tariffs, supporting different charging scenarios without requiring duplicate customer identities or manual reconciliation.

Billing, invoicing and reporting are also integrated into the platform, extending the same operating environment from charging operations through to financial administration.

The deployment covers multiple charging environments through the same underlying platform, including:

• Public charging for EV drivers across MVV Energie’s network
• Fleet and B2B charging for commercial customers
• Workplace charging for employees and businesses
• Home charging and reimbursement for employees using home wallboxes, including registration of personal wallboxes and home PV systems

For MVV Energie, the commercial impact sits behind the technical one: replacing several disconnected systems with a single platform means charging growth – more sites, more segments, more tariff types – no longer adds proportional operational overhead. 

MVV Energie’s deployment marks another step toward consolidating Germany’s growing charging network on technology capable of supporting large-scale, multi-segment operations.
