Hager Integration Guide
Covers Hager EV charge points. Access the web interface via Wi-Fi hotspot or Ethernet, configure OCPP settings, and connect to Monta.
When you connect your charge point to Monta, Monta becomes the operator and controls the charging process.
1. Notes
Important: the charge point must support OCPP 1.6-J. Some older Hager models do not — check with Hager if in doubt.
The WebUI can be accessed two ways:
- Wi-Fi hotspot: use the Wi-Fi card supplied in the box (steps 2 onward).
-
Ethernet: connect a cable from the charge point to your computer. The address uses the last six characters of the UID on the product label — e.g.
https://hager-evcs-ab4df5. Alternatively scan the router for connected IP addresses. If connecting via Ethernet, skip to step 3.
2. Activate the Wi-Fi hotspot
- Power on the charge point. The LED flashes yellow, then orange.
- Within 5 minutes, swipe the supplied Wi-Fi card over the RFID reader. The LED turns green.
- The charge point broadcasts a Wi-Fi hotspot:
- SSID: hager-evcs-[last6charUID]
- Password: hager[last6charUID] (10 characters)
ab4df5→ SSIDhager-evcs-ab4df5, passwordhagerab4df. - Connect to the hotspot and navigate to https://10.0.0.1/.
3. Log in to the WebUI
- Username: Admin
- Password: 1234
You will be prompted to change the password on first login. Navigate to the Configuration page.
4. OCPP configuration settings
- OCPP server: wss://ocpp.monta.app
- Authentication: select the option for third-party backend supervision
- Login: leave blank
- Password: leave blank
-
ChargePoint ID: HAGER followed by the serial number (e.g.
HAGER123456) - RFID Access: select the option to use RFID
- Charging restart authorisation: Enable
5. Connect the charger to the internet
Wi-Fi
- Enter the on-site Wi-Fi SSID and password.
Ethernet
- DHCP client: enable for automatic addressing or set a fixed IP.
- IP address: fixed IP if DHCP is disabled.
- Fallback IP address: IP to use if DHCP fails.
Restart the charge point after configuring. It should connect to the Monta OCPP server.
6. Connect the charge point to your Monta account
Add your charge point to your Monta account via Monta Charge (mobile app) or Monta Hub (web portal).
