You can upload up to 4 photos for each charging site in Monta Hub. Drivers see them in the Monta app, and they're shared with roaming partners, so drivers on other networks see the same photos.
Why add photos?
- Drivers find the charger faster. Charge points in car parks, garages and business parks can be hard to spot. A photo of the entrance or bays shows drivers exactly where to go.
- Fewer "I can't find it" contacts. Clear photos cut down on calls, chat messages and failed visits from drivers who can't find the charge points.
- More trust, more visits. Drivers are more likely to choose a site they can see: well lit, easy to reach, with the right kind of parking.
- Better listings on roaming networks. Photos are shared with roaming partners, so your site looks the same everywhere.
How to add photos
- Go to Chargers and select Charging sites.
- Open the site and select Details.
- Under Images, upload up to 4 photos.
- Click Save.
To replace a photo, delete it and upload a new one.
What makes a good photo
- The way in: the entrance, barrier or turn-off drivers need to take.
- The charge points: the bays with the charge points and any signs or bay markings clearly visible.
- The whole site: a wide shot so drivers can recognise it on arrival.
- Daylight, landscape format, without clutter.
- No people, faces or readable number plates, to protect privacy.
- No prices or temporary notices, which go out of date.
Where drivers see them
- Monta app: a photo gallery at the top of the charging site.
- Roaming apps and maps: shared through OCPI as images of the location.
- Partner API: available on the site for your own apps and integrations.
Good to know
- Up to 4 photos per site. Choose the ones that help drivers most. Entrance and bays usually come first.
- Photos are public. Anyone who can see the site in the app or on a roaming network can see them.
- Roaming partners may take a while to show new or changed photos, depending on how often they refresh location data.
