Please note that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the operator of the charge point. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.
Important! To establish OCPP connection to Monta backend, charge point firmware version must be 1.1.16 or higher.
1. Download the eConfig app and connect
Download the eConfig app on your phone using Apple store or Google Play.
When launching the app, a guide appears, providing instructions to establish a Bluetooth connection to the eBox. Please, follow the instructions and establish a bluetooth connection with the charge point.
2. Enter the PUK number
After the connection is established, you will have to enter the PUK number.
The PUK is located on the back of the user manual that came with the eBox.
After this, you can select between Business and Private installation.
3. Enter the technical settings
Please note! It is very important that these values are correctly entered by a qualified person.
After you have entered the values, click on “Proceed”.
4. Select backend and network
On this page, select “3rd Party Backend”.
Proceed with choosing the network type you are going to use.
You can choose between WiFi (WLAN), LAN, and SIM connection. Enter the required information in one of the following and continue.
5. Continue with backend settings
When a valid internet connection is established, it’s possible to continue with backend settings.
Click on “Configure backend” and edit these settings:
Backend URL: wss://ocpp.monta.app
Chargebox Identity: make sure it’s the serial number of the charge point
The rest should be left as they were by default.
Press “Proceed” and now the charge point will establish a connection to the backend.
6. Connecting the charge point to your Monta account
Now you need to add and connect your charge point to your Monta account.
You can do this through either Monta Charge or Monta Hub.
