Explains how to create, configure, and edit Partner API keys in Monta Hub. Use this article to connect your systems to the Monta platform via the Partner API.
For: Operators using Monta Hub
The Monta Partner API lets you integrate your systems directly with the Monta platform.
Note: Partner API is a paid feature and may not be available in every account. If you do not see the Partner API option in your Hub, contact your Monta representative.
How do I create an API key?
- In the bottom-left corner, click your account to open the menu.
- Go to Integrations.
- Open the Partner API tab.
- Click Create API key, then configure:
- Key name — enter a descriptive name so you can identify the key later.
-
Scopes — set the permissions the key should have. See the Partner API permission scopes documentation for details.
- The default is None, meaning the key cannot perform any actions until you select a scope.
- Use the dropdown to choose the specific capabilities to allow.
-
Access — select which team(s) the key can access. See the Partner API access control documentation for details.
- The default is All Teams, giving the key organisation-wide access.
- You can restrict the key to specific teams if needed.
- Click Create. Copy the key immediately — it is only shown once for security reasons.
How do I edit an existing API key?
You can update the name, scopes, or access settings of any existing key at any time.
- Under Integrations > Partner API, find the list of existing keys.
- Click the three-dot menu next to the key you want to modify, then select Edit.
- In the Edit API key panel, change the Key name, Scopes, or Access as needed.
- Click Save. Changes take effect immediately — you do not need to regenerate the key.
