Decide whether Monta employees and support can access your operator account, see who has access, and understand how that temporary access works.
You control whether Monta can access your operator account in Monta Hub. This lets Monta help you — for example, to investigate an issue or answer a support request — while keeping you in charge of who can get in and for how long.
Where to find it
- In Monta Hub, open your operator profile.
- Find the Monta access settings.
The two settings
- Allow access to Monta employees — lets Monta administrators access your account for diagnostics and configuration, and to act on your behalf when you ask us to.
-
Allow access to Monta external support — lets an external support team, trained and verified by Monta, access your account in a support role to help with your requests.
- External support partners: Support Your App (supportyourapp.com)
You can turn each one on or off independently. If you turn both off, Monta cannot investigate issues or answer support requests on your behalf — we can only work from what you report to us.
How the access works
- Only if you allow it. Monta staff can only get in if the matching setting is turned on. With it off, access is refused.
- It’s temporary. When a Monta employee or support agent opens your account, they’re granted time-limited access that expires automatically — up to about a week for employees, and about a day for support. Access isn’t permanent.
- Access is kept to a minimum. These settings govern access for Monta’s support agents and employees. Only a very small number of senior Monta staff keep broader access for critical situations — everyday access by support and employees always goes through the settings above.
Seeing who has access
Anyone from Monta with current access appears as a temporary member of your account, so you can see who they are, whether they’re an employee or support, and when their access ends. This keeps Monta’s access transparent and easy to review.
You can also see a list of the Monta users who have logged in to your account, giving you a clear record of exactly who has accessed it — not just who has access right now.
Should I turn it off?
Most operators leave these on so Monta can help quickly when needed. If you prefer stricter privacy you can turn them off — just remember that doing so limits how much we can help if something goes wrong, and you can turn them back on at any time.
What happens if it’s turned off?
If you keep these settings off, Monta can’t open your account on its own. When you contact us for help, our team will ask you to grant access first — usually by turning the relevant setting on so we can look into the issue. You can turn it back off again afterwards, and any access granted still expires automatically.
