For: Operators, businesses, and fleet managers using Monta Hub

Monta Hub is the web portal for operators, businesses, and fleet managers. This article helps you get oriented when you log in for the first time.

What you can do in Monta Hub

  • Manage charge points — add charge points, configure pricing, and monitor performance.
  • Manage teams — create teams for employees, customers, or fleet drivers and control their charging access.
  • Handle payments — set up wallets, invoicing, and payment terminals.
  • Run reports — export charge data, track uptime, and meet compliance requirements.
  • Manage subscriptions — create subscription plans for your team members.

Monta Hub

The left sidebar is your main navigation. Key sections:

  • Dashboard — an overview of your operator account.
  • Charge points — all charge points connected to your operator account.
  • Teams — teams you manage and their members.
  • Transactions — charge sessions and payment records.

New Monta Hub

This section is for operators using the New Hub.

Sidebar

The sidebar has three sections, top to bottom:

  1. Header — a Search button that opens the global search dialog.
  2. Main navigation — the 13 top-level categories and their sub-items.
  3. Footer — Switch back to old hub, What's new, the operator (account) menu, and the user menu.

How do I open global search from the sidebar?

Follow these steps to jump to any page, EVSE, team, charge key, location, or session.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. Select Search… at the top of the sidebar, or press Cmd + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows / Linux) from anywhere in Hub.
  3. Type the name of the page or item you want.
  4. Select the result.

Expected result: the page or item opens.

Top-level categories

The main navigation lists 13 top-level categories. Categories with sub-items expand when you select them. A category can also be a direct link to a page - in that case the chevron on the right expands the sub-items separately. Some items only appear when your account has the matching role, permission, or feature flag enabled.

The 13 categories are: Home, Accounts / teams, Drivers, Operations, Charge pricing, Roaming, Growth, Finance, Analytics, Workflows, Developer tools, Monta shop, and Settings.

Home

Home is a direct link to your operator dashboard. It is the default landing page when you log in.

Accounts / teams

  • Operator menu — your operator account with avatar and name. Select to open the operator dropdown.

How do I switch operator accounts?

Follow these steps when you manage more than one operator and need to switch between them.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. At the bottom of the sidebar, select the operator account block (with your operator avatar and name).
  3. In the operator dropdown, select Switch operator account.
  4. In the operator picker, select the operator you want to use.

Expected result: Hub reloads in the context of the selected operator. You can also reach Switch operator account from the user menu.

Operator dropdown

Select the operator account block at the bottom of the sidebar to open the operator dropdown. It contains:

  • Visit help centre — opens this help centre in a new tab.
  • Create ticket — opens the Monta support portal in a new tab.
  • Your customer success manager — name, email, and phone of your assigned customer success manager (CSM). Only shown when you have a CSM assigned.
  • Emergency hotline — operator support phone number. Only shown when configured for your account.
  • Switch operator account — opens the operator picker.

How do I open my user menu?

Follow these steps to reach your profile, applications, or to log out.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. At the very bottom of the sidebar, select your user avatar.
  3. In the user dropdown, select the entry you want.

Expected result: the user menu opens. It contains:

  • Profile — opens your user profile.
  • Applications — opens the applications page on your profile.
  • Switch operator account — same as the operator dropdown entry, available from the user menu.
  • Log out — signs you out of Monta Hub.

How do I collapse the sidebar?

Follow these steps to free up screen space.

  1. In the top bar of Hub, select the sidebar toggle.
  2. Hover an icon in the collapsed rail to see its tooltip.
  3. To expand a category, select its icon. The sidebar expands and opens the category at the same time.

Expected result: the sidebar collapses to an icon rail. The collapsed or expanded state is remembered between sessions on the same browser.

What happens to the active category and recent teams?

When you navigate to a page inside a category, the category stays expanded so you can see the rest of its sub-items. The active page is highlighted. Under Accounts / teams, the most recently opened teams appear under a Recent sub-group — open a team to add it to the list.
