Monta Hub

Sidebar

The sidebar has three sections, top to bottom:

  1. Header — a Search button that opens the global search dialog.
  2. Main navigation — the 10 top-level categories and their sub-items.
  3. Footer — Switch back to old hub, Messages, What's new, the operator (profile) menu, and the user menu.

How do I open global search from the sidebar?

Follow these steps to jump to any charge point, site, account, charge key, or user. See How do I search for items in Monta Hub? for the full list of searchable fields.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. Select Search… at the top of the sidebar, or press Cmd + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows / Linux) from anywhere in Hub.
  3. Type the name of the page or item you want.
  4. Select the result.

Expected result: the page or item opens.

Top-level categories

The main navigation lists 10 top-level categories. Categories with sub-items expand when you select them. A category can also be a direct link to a page - in that case the chevron on the right expands the sub-items separately. Some items only appear when your account has the matching role, permission, or feature flag enabled.

The 10 categories are: Home, Accounts, CPO / Network, EMP / Fleet, Operations, Pricing & Growth, Finance, Analytics, Admin, and Monta Shop.

Home

How do I switch operator accounts?

Follow these steps when you manage more than one operator and need to switch between them.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. At the bottom of the sidebar, select the operator profile block (with your operator avatar and name).
  3. In the operator dropdown, select Switch operator account.
  4. In the operator picker, select the operator you want to use.

Expected result: Hub reloads in the context of the selected operator. You can also reach Switch operator account from the user menu.

Operator dropdown

Select the operator profile block at the bottom of the sidebar to open the operator dropdown. It contains:

  • Visit Help Center — opens this help centre in a new tab.
  • Create Ticket — opens the Monta support portal in a new tab.
  • Emergency hotline — operator support phone number. Only shown when configured for your account.
  • System status — shows whether Monta systems are operational, or lists any active incidents. Links out to the public status page.
  • Your customer success manager — name and email of your assigned customer success manager (CSM). Only shown when you have a CSM assigned.
  • Switch operator account — opens the operator picker.

How do I open my user menu?

Follow these steps to reach your profile, switch operators, or log out.

  1. Open Hub.
  2. At the very bottom of the sidebar, select your user avatar.
  3. In the user dropdown, select the entry you want.

  3. To expand a category, select its icon. The sidebar expands and opens the category at the same time.

Expected result: the sidebar collapses to an icon rail. The collapsed or expanded state is remembered between sessions on the same browser.

What happens to the active category and favorited accounts?

When you navigate to a page inside a category, the category stays expanded so you can see the rest of its sub-items. The active page is highlighted. Under Accounts, your favorited accounts appear under a Favorites sub-group — favorite an account to add it to the list.

Old Hub

The old Hub is being phased out — the new Monta Hub is now the default. These steps remain temporarily; switch to the new Hub from the user menu when you can.

  • Charge points — all charge points connected to your operator account.
  • Teams — teams you manage and their members.
  • Transactions — charge sessions and payment records.

  1. Set up your operator profile details under Admin.
  2. Add your first charge point under CPO / Network.
  3. Create an account and invite members under Accounts.
  4. Configure pricing for your charge points.
