How do I export an Uptime report for my charge points?
UK Public Charge Point Regulation: how to export the reliability percentage of your charge points from Monta Hub, add or remove exempt statuses, and understand the Uptime % calculation.
The Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 introduced a mandatory uptime data requirement for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) in the UK. One of the key components is maintaining and reporting on the reliability of public charge points. This guide explains how to export an Uptime report from Monta Hub.
What is included in an Uptime report?
An Uptime report can be generated per Team or per Operator. The table below lists all data points included:
| Information type | Fields | Comment |
| Charge point details |

UK CPOs are required to report uptime statistics for rapid charge points with more than 50 kW capacity. Use these columns to filter fast chargers after exporting. |

What time period does the Uptime report cover?
You can download and export the report at any point to monitor your Uptime values continuously.
- In 2024: data from 1 November 2024 to the day before the export date.
- In 2025: data from 1 January 2025 to the day before the export date.
How is Uptime % calculated?
Monta calculates Uptime % as defined in the Public Charge Points Regulation 2023.
The formula is:
Uptime % = (M − mean downtime − mean time exempt) / (M − mean time exempt) × 100
- M is the number of minutes in a year.
- Mean downtime is the total minutes that charge points are not working, divided by the number of charge points.
- Mean time exempt is the total minutes that charge points are ineligible from measurement, divided by the number of charge points.
Important: To correctly calculate Uptime %, you must manually change the charge point state in Monta Hub when a charge point enters or leaves an exempt state.
How do I add an exempt status to a charge point?
Perform this action when a charge point is not in an operational state. Note that exempt statuses can currently only be added per charge point, not in bulk.

- Select the Integration tab and click Remote actions.
- Select Add an exempt status.
- Select the correct status.
- Click Add status.
The state is now visible on the charge point and in the charge points table.
How do I remove an exempt status from a charge point?

- Open the charge point in Monta Hub.
- Select the Integration tab and click Remote actions.
- Select Remove exempt status.
