For: Account Owners who want to share charge point access across multiple Accounts without adding individual members.

What are Nested Accounts?

Nested Accounts allow you to invite another Account to access the charge points in your Account at a specified price. The inviting Account is the Parent Account and the accepting Account is the Nested Account.

A Nested Account's members get access to the Parent Account's charge points and pay a specific price for charging. This means a user only needs to be a member of one Account, and that Account can be nested under multiple Parent Accounts. All actions described in this article can only be performed by an Account Owner.

Example

You have an Account called "Work Depot" with 10 charge points. You also have 3 separate Accounts — Location 1 (5 members), Location 2 (3 members), and Location 3 (10 members). Instead of inviting all 18 members to Work Depot individually, you can invite the 3 Accounts as Nested Accounts and even set a different charging price for each.

As a Parent Account, you can:

  • Invite Nested Accounts
  • Manage charge point access per Nested Account
  • Apply a specific Price Group per Nested Account
  • Remove Nested Accounts
  • Accept to become a Nested Account under another Parent Account

As a Nested Account, you can:

  • Accept an invitation from a Parent Account
  • Charge on the charge points shared by the Parent Account
  • Leave the Parent Account
  • Invite a Nested Account under your own Account
