Learn how to create multiple Teams at once in Monta Hub using the bulk import template, and how to check the import history for errors.

For: Operator users with the Operations manager or Organization admin role.

Before you start

Prepare all the information for each account before starting the import, including the charge points you want to add and the account address. Using bulk import, you can create accounts with all information filled in, charge points added, and an account owner assigned. You will still need to invite other members to each account separately.

How do I bulk import accounts?

  1. Navigate to Accounts in the left-side menu.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to New, then select Bulk import legacy.
    • This opens the Bulk import history page.
  3. Click Import.
  4. In the Upload bulk import window, click Download template to get the mass import template.
  5. Fill in the template using the reference table below.
  6. Drag and drop the completed file into the upload area, or click it to browse and choose the file.
  7. Click Upload.
    • You will receive an email notification when the import is complete.

If any information in the template is missing or invalid, you will receive an email specifying which field needs to be corrected. Correct the field and import the file again.

How do I find the import history?

  1. Navigate to Accounts in the left-side menu.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to New, then select Bulk import legacy to open the Bulk import history page.
  3. Click any import in the list to open its details.
  4. If there are errors, you can see which row needs to be corrected.

Template reference table

Every column in the template must be filled in. Leaving a required field empty will cause the import to fail.

Field name Description Comments
Charge point identifier Serial number of the charge point Each charge point socket must be on a separate row.
Charge point brand Brand of the charge point
Charge point model Model identifier as registered in Monta You must enter the exact charge point model identifier as registered in the Monta system. Go to the supported charge points page, find the model, and copy the exact Identifier from the datasheet table.
Charge point name Name for the charge point
Charge point connector Which socket of the charge point this is
Charge point max power Max current of the charge point
Site external ID A name or number you use to identify the site Can be the same as the site name.
Site name Name of the charge point site
Site street, Zipcode, City, Country Address where the charge point site is located
Site installer email Email of the installer who will install the charge points
Account name Name for the account
Account external ID A name or number you use to identify the account You can define this yourself.
Account type Specify if the account is an operator, professional, or private account The account type is case-sensitive and must be entered in lowercase.
Account contact email Email that will receive informational emails from Monta
Account finance email Email that will receive all receipts and invoices from Monta
Account company name Company name for Professional accounts (also required for Private accounts, though it will not be visible in Monta Hub)
Account VAT number VAT number
Account street, Zipcode, City Address of the account
Account country Country of the account Use country abbreviations: DK (Denmark), CH (Switzerland), GB (United Kingdom), DE (Germany), FR (France).
Account owner email Email of the person who will be the account owner This person must already have a Monta account.
