Streamlined firmware updates
We made a significant leap in convenience by enabling the direct push of firmware updates from both the app and portal. Not being able to push firmware updates as soon as they are available increases the risk of having unstable charge points, so now you can ensure your charge points run smoothly at all times.
Upgraded SmartCharge
In 2023, our SmartCharge feature received a major upgrade, aimed at reducing failed charges and boosting reliability. With a success rate now exceeding 96%, SmartCharge doesn’t only help you charge when the energy is cheapest and greenest. It also notifies you about improper cable connections and reboots chargers when necessary, ensuring a seamless charging experience.
Launched Monta Public API
Monta Public API was introduced to cater to tech enthusiasts and smart homeowners, allowing for the integration of charge points, charges, and vehicle data with various systems, thereby offering unprecedented control and customisation at home.
Redesigned the charge summary screen
We updated the summary screen to provide more comprehensive details after each charge. This enhancement has been especially beneficial for home users, offering insights into costs, duration, and charging speeds, and thus improving transparency.
Launched AutoCharge
AutoCharge was a major addition to our suite of features, truly making EV charging as seamless as possible. With AutoCharge, you can forget about complicated payment methods or authentication processes. Just plug in to start charging and unplug to stop. So easy, right? The feature works with specific EV models and CCS chargers, marking a step forward in charging efficiency.
Rolled out Virtual SolarCharge
Virtual SolarCharge became available, allowing for solar-powered EV charging without complicated integrations or new software. This feature, compatible with any solar panel hardware, is a testament to our commitment to sustainable and cost-effective charging solutions.
Expanding the reach
In 2023, we continued to expand our network of charge points, including those available on roaming, to ensure you have access to charging wherever you are.
We added 154 new charger models, meaning now your digital companion seamlessly works with over 400 charger models and taps into a huge network of over 500,000 public charge points, allowing you to truly go beyond brands and borders wherever 2024 will lead you!
