A Monta charge key is a convenient way to initiate a charge by sending a signal to the Monta system. It acts as an extension of your Monta Wallet and other payment methods. This guide will walk you through the process of using a Monta charge key.

Access Charge keys in Monta Charge
- Under the navigation menu, select Me.
- Click on Personal Wallet to access your wallet settings.
- Scroll down to Charge keys (RFID)
- Click on the + Charge key button to add a new charge key.
Pair charge key via NFC
To add and pair a Charge key (RFID), you can use NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
- Click on Read NFC Key
- Scan the charge key with your phone
- Give the charge key a name
- Click on Pair charge key
Pair charge key via charge point
You can also pair a charge key using your personal charge point. Ensure that your charge point is already connected to Monta and available for use. Please note that access to the charge point is necessary to pair the charge key. Learn more here.
- Click on Pair through charge point
- Select the charge point you want to use
- Scan the charge key on the charge point within 60 seconds
- Give the charge key a name
- Click on Pair charge key
Manually enter charge key number
You can also manually input the charge key number, if your charge key has 8, 14, 16 or 20 characters.
- Click on Enter key number manually
- Enter the number and name the charge key
- Click on Pair charge key
Order a charge key
You can order a Monta charge key directly from Monta Charge!
- Click on Order charge key
- Select the charge key you want
- Enter your order information
- Confirm the order
Block or delete a charge key
If you have lost and a charge key and you want to prevent others from using it you have the option to block it from Monta Charge.
- Open your Personal Wallet
- Find and open the charge key
- Select if you want to block and/ or delete it
