PowerBank is a Monta service that supports grid stability. In return, you get access to Home+ features on your home charge point.

PowerBank is available for charge points in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, and Ireland.

If your charge point is in Denmark East (DK2), it is automatically enrolled in PowerBank. To opt out, follow the steps in "Stop participating in PowerBank" below.

You can check if your charge point brand supports PowerBank on the supported charge points list.

What does PowerBank unlock?

Joining PowerBank gives you access to Home+ features on your home charge point. You do not need grid-service compatible hardware to use Home+ when you join PowerBank.

How do I sign up for PowerBank?

You can sign up for PowerBank on a charge point you own or administer.

1. Find the charge point in Monta Charge and tap the settings wheel.
2. Tap to open the PowerBank tab.
3. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions.
   • Participation conditions and services vary by country — review these carefully.
4. Tap Join PowerBank.

Do I still earn credits for PowerBank?

From 11 May 2026, you no longer earn Monta credits for participating in PowerBank.

Any credits you earned before this date stay in your wallet and can be used for charging.

To view your wallet balance:

1. Open Monta Charge.
2. Open the wallet from the main menu.
3. Review your balance and past transactions.

How do I stop participating in PowerBank?

If you leave PowerBank, you also lose access to Home+ features on the charge point.

1. Find the charge point in Monta Charge and tap the settings wheel.
2. Tap to open the PowerBank tab.
3. Tap the action dots in the top-right corner.
4. Tap Leave PowerBank.
