Monta offers the ability to integrate smart meter readers to optimize your charging experience while protecting your fuse from overloading.

Please note that you need to have a Smart Meter integrated or a CT clamp installed for this feature to work.

Enable Fuse protection

This feature is located in the Home Integrations section of your charge point settings.

  1. Go to your Charge Point Settings
  2. Click on Home Integrations
  3. Open the Fuse protection menu
  4. Make sure to connect either:
    • a Saveeye Smart Meter Reader:
    • CT Clamp: This option requires professional installation. Contact a qualified installer to set up the CT clamp with your charge point (currently supported only with SyncEV charge points).
  5. Click on Enable Fuse protection
  6. Set up a maximum Amp limit and click to Accept the Terms
  7. You are all set!

Important information

If Monta detects that the fuse is at risk of tripping, the system will automatically take action to prevent this and notify you.

Note: We ensure notifications are infrequent and only sent when necessary. If you prefer, you can disable fuse protection while maintaining the integration. This is particularly useful if you’re using the integration for other purposes, such as True Solar Charging.
