Starting August 18, 2025, Monta Hub will become the single interface for managing your EV charging business. This milestone marks the final phase of our transition away from the legacy Portal. From this date onward, all users will be automatically redirected to Monta Hub, and the Portal will no longer be accessible as your primary workspace.

Monta Hub is built for the future of EV charging:

  • Faster performance
  • A modern, intuitive design
  • Scalable workflows for large operations
  • A foundation for innovation and continuous improvement

Ending Portal access ensures every partner benefits from the latest features and support in a single place – Monta Hub.

What’s Changing

  • Monta Hub becomes the default and only workspace interface All users will be redirected to Hub, and the Portal will no longer be accessible for features that already exist in Hub.
  • No direct dual access Only specific features will be temporarily available in Portal. The rest of the functionalities (see below) can only be accesses via Monta Hub.
  • No migration needed All your users, data, permissions, and settings are already available in Hub. No action is required to transfer data.
  • Future-proofing your experience All upcoming features and improvements will be delivered exclusively in Monta Hub.

You’re not losing any functionality or historical data – you’re gaining a streamlined, scalable, and intuitive platform. This final step allows us to focus on building better tools in a unified space.

What You Need to Do

  • Start using Monta Hub now if you haven’t already. Familiarize yourself and your team with the updated interface and workflows.
  • Inform your customers and external users. Monta will not send direct communication to end users. If you support external customers or partners still using the Portal, make sure they’re aware of this transition and comfortable navigating in Hub.
  • Use the resources below to ease the transition and avoid any disruption.

What’s New in Monta Hub (compared to Portal)

Monta Hub isn’t just a replacement for Portal – it’s a significant upgrade in both functionality and user experience. Here are some of the key improvements and new features that are only available in Hub:

  • Dashboards: New reports, improved data visualizations, and enhanced filtering options for deeper insights.
  • Market-specific Data Reporting: Data exports in multiple formats to comply with local regulations and integrate with external tools.
  • Bilateral Agreements: Special roaming agreements with specific eMobility Providers (EMPs), including discounted roaming rates and exclusive charge point sharing rights.
  • Plans & Subscriptions:
    • Improved Workflows: Easier, more reliable flows for creating plans and managing subscriptions.
    • New plan types and billing methods: Team plans billed per charge point, per member, or as a flat fee, including the option to offer Charge Subscriptions
      • [Coming Soon] Sub-operator plans to enable main operators to bill sub-operator accounts per active charge points.
    • Multiple Subscriptions per Team: Apply several plans to a single team for tailored billing.
  • Fleet Management Improvements:
    • Fleet-Only Teams: Set up teams focused solely on fleet operations with relevant features.
    • Improved Vehicle Integration: Smoother flows for adding vehicles and connecting telematics.
    • [Coming Soon] Driver View for Charge Insights: Track and analyze team charging activity, costs, and usage over time – with filters, search, and data export capabilities.
  • Enhanced Charge Point & Site Details:
    • Add detailed technical and accessibility attributes.
    • Define vehicle compatibility to ensure proper fit and reduce site issues
    • Specify installation details and constraints
    • Set usage policies and opening hours (AFIR-compliant) for better user guidance on when your charge points are available
  • Installer Jobs: Manage charge point installations directly from Hub with a dedicated workflow
  • Alerts:
    • New feature – not available in the Portal
    • Set up custom alerts based on incident types, teams, sites, and recipient email addresses
  • Improved Filtering
    • Filter charge point tables by status for faster navigation and management
  • Accessibility Compliance: The Hub meets the latest standards of Accessibility regulations, including the European Accessibility Act and **WCAG 2.2 AA standards.**
  • Promotion Codes – Discount (%) Promotion Codes can now be offered for selected charge points, for single & multi-use cases, and operators can set custom usage restrictions.

What Still Redirects to the Portal (for Now)

A few legacy features will remain accessible via direct links, with users redirected automatically when accessed from Hub:

  • Charging tiles
  • Deeplinks
  • Monta shop

These tools are not yet fully integrated into Monta Hub, but you can still use them without interruption. However, navigation will be limited to those specific pages only – you won’t be able to browse the rest of the Portal interface.

Retired Features

As part of the transition to Monta Hub, we’ve taken the opportunity to re-evaluate two features that no longer meet product standards or user expectations. These features are retired until further notice:

  • Credit Promotion Codes

Instead of migrating this into Hub, we’re treating it as a new feature category – one that requires revalidation alongside modern discount models based on current customer feedback and operational needs.

  • Charge Profiles

We’re redirecting our focus toward a fully revamped solution – a new feature called Smart Charging for Depots, planned for release in late 2025. It will offer more value, better performance, and modern charging intelligence for large-scale operators.
