What is charge point Open data?

The Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 have introduced a mandatory open data requirement for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) in the UK. This regulation ensures that essential information about public charge points, such as location, status, and pricing, is made openly accessible. The aim is to improve transparency, support informed decision-making by EV drivers, and enhance the accessibility of charging infrastructure.

This guide will help you understand how to export the required data in a compliant format, making it easy to share publicly. By following these steps, you can fulfill your obligations under the new regulations and contribute to a more transparent and efficient EV charging network across the UK.

What is included in the Open data export?

Open data can be exported per Team or per Operator.

According to the regulation, CPOs are required to report on 49 fields of data, separated between Location (table 9), EVSE (table 10) and Connector (table 11). The Open data export by Monta currently contains 40 of the 49 fields.
