What is Nested Teams?

Nested Teams is a way to invite users to have access to the charge points in a Team at a specified price. The inviting Team is the Parent Team and the accepting Team is the Nested Team.

A Nested Team's Members will get access to the Parent Team's charge points and pay a specific price for charging. This means, that instead of a user needing to be member of multiple Teams, the user can just be member of 1 Team, and that Team can be nested with multiple other Teams. All described actions bellow can only be performed by a Team Owner.

Example Setup

You have a Team called Work Depot, which has 10 charge points in it.

You also have 3 separate Teams for employees - Location 1 (5 Members), Location 2 (3 Members) and Location 3 (10 Members). You want to give all 18 Members among these 3 Teams the access to the Work Depot charge points.

Instead of inviting the 18 Members to the Work Depot Team (Parent Team), individually, you can just invite the Teams Location 1, Location 2 and Location 3 to become Nested Teams. You can even set a different charging price for each Team and specify which charge points they can access.

As a Parent Team you can:

  • Invite Nested Teams under your Parent Team
  • Manage the access to charge points per Nested Team
  • Apply a specific Price Group per Nested Team
  • Remove Nested Teams
  • Accept to become a Nested Team to another Parent Team

As a Nested Team you can:

  • Accept an invite from a Parent Team
  • Charge on the charge points, which the Parent Team has shared with you
  • Leave the Parent Team
  • Invite a Nested Team under your Team
