Monta’s Partner API allows you to integrate your systems directly with the Monta platform.
Note: Partner API is a paid feature, so it may not be available in every account. If you don’t see the Partner API option in your Hub, reach out to your Monta contact.
- In the bottom-left corner, click on your account to open the menu.
- Go to Integrations
- In the Integrations section, open the Partner API tab.
- Click Create API key, then configure:
- Key name – Enter a descriptive name that helps you recognise the purpose of the key later.
- Scopes – the level of permissions the key should have. Learn more here.
- The default setting is None, meaning the key won’t be able to perform actions until a scope is selected.
- Click the dropdown to choose the specific capabilities the API key is allowed to use.
- Access – Select the team(s) the key should have access to. Learn more here.
- The default setting is All Teams, giving the key organisation-wide access.
- You can restrict the key to specific teams if needed.
- Once all fields are configured, click Create. Your new API key will be generated and displayed – make sure to copy it immediately, as it won’t be shown again for security reasons.
Edit an existing API key
You can update the name, scopes, or access settings of an existing key at any time.
- Under Integrations → Partner API, you’ll see a list of existing keys, including their name, client ID, creation date, access, and scopes.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the key you want to modify, then select Edit.
- The Edit API key modal will appear, where you can change the Key name, Scopes, and Access.
- Click Save to apply the updates. Tour changes take effect immediately – there is no need to regenerate the key.
