AFIR data provision requirements in Belgium

National Access Point for data reporting

To comply with the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) data provision requirement in Belgium, Charge Point Operators (CPOs) with charge points requiring payment for the charging service must ensure their charging stations data is correctly reported via the National Access Point Transportdata.be.

To do so, Transportdata.be requests CPOs or Service Providers like Monta to offer an open API so that the required data can be retrieved at no cost.

Data types to be reported

Transportdata.be stictly requires AFIR data requirements, which can be found in Regulation (EU) 2023/1804, Article 20 – Data provision.

Monta is committed to sharing all required dynamic and static data currently available from our operators. This process ensures alignment with AFIR regulation.

Moving forward, Monta will collect any missing data from operators through the Monta Hub. This data will then be available to Transportdata.be to ensure compliance with the latest requirements.

How this works

IMPORTANT!

  • We recommend you to avoid reporting data or creating a new organization yourself. You should simply give Monta full control over your data to streamline data reporting.
  • Make sure to complete all data required by AFIR on your charge points in Monta Hub

Instructions for CPOs

Step 1: Authorize Monta as a third party to register your datasets

  • Download the template for the proxy agreement. (in .docx)
  • Fill out all the required information:
    • You can copy the following sentence in the Proxy section: "The “Proxy” Monta, with registered offices in Strandboulevarden 122, 5, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark, represented by Rasmussen, Casper, CEO;”.
  • Sign the document
  • Convert the .docx document into the .pdf format
  • Share the .pdf document with your CSM at Monta

Once our team has received the signed .pdf document, Monta will share the filled out proxy agreement (in .pdf) with Transportdata.be, and will be officially authorized to report the data on your behalf.
