Monta AI is currently available in beta in the Hub and Control.
Monta AI is an operational intelligence layer built directly into Monta’s CSMS. It helps operators, support teams, and internal Monta users diagnose issues, understand system behavior, and optimize network performance.
Unlike traditional chatbots or UI overlays, Monta AI is a fully integrated system component. It uses the same internal tools our engineers rely on – including real-time APIs, data warehouses, OCPP/OCPI logs, and firmware intelligence – all available instantly inside Monta Control.
Monta AI currently provides:
- Root cause analysis for failed charge sessions
- Charging station health diagnostics
- Firmware performance evaluation
- Multi-system troubleshooting (OCPP, roaming, authorization)
- Smart Charging insights and behavioral explanations
- Alert and trend pattern analysis
Why It Matters
For CPOs
- Diagnose issues in minutes, not hours
- Reduce operational overhead
- Gain full-stack visibility across hardware, firmware, and backend systems
For Enterprise Partners
- Access actionable operational intelligence
- Improve uptime and customer experience
- Understand network behavior at scale
How It Works
Monta AI connects directly to Monta’s core systems:
Direct API access
Retrieves live operational data for charges, stations, smart charging behavior, and vehicles.
Data warehouse intelligence
Runs analytical queries on historical datasets to identify trends in uptime, firmware stability, and charging reliability.
Log-level investigation
Searches millions of OCPP, roaming, and authorization logs to provide accurate event reconstruction.
Firmware performance analysis
Correlates firmware versions with statistical success rates using Wilson Score to avoid false positives from small sample sizes.
Smart charging context
Understands price optimization, CO₂ reduction, renewable energy targeting, scheduling, and energy availability. Explains whether behavior is intentional or technical.
Knowledge base depth
Monta AI uses:
- Help Center articles
- 250,000+ resolved support tickets
- OCPP/OCPI specifications
- Manufacturer manuals (ABB, Alfen, Zaptec, Easee, etc.)
- Product documentation
- Monta’s troubleshooting standards
The result: complete explanations of what happened, why it happened, and how to resolve it – all with sources and timestamps.
Context awareness
When viewing a station or charge in Monta Hub, the AI automatically adapts its analysis to the relevant entity.

How to Use Monta AI
Monta AI is available on every page in the Monta Hub. It automatically adapts to the station, charge, or fleet view you’re currently looking at.
1. Open Monta AI
Click the AI icon in the bottom-right corner to open the assistant panel.
The AI immediately understands the context of the page you’re on—no need to provide IDs or details manually.
2. Ask Your Question
Type naturally (e.g., “Why did this charge fail?” or “Why is this station offline?”).
Monta AI retrieves all relevant data automatically and provides a complete explanation.
3. Use Quick Actions
You can also use the shortcut buttons (e.g., Search logs, Get charge history, Analyze firmware performance, View alerts).
These run pre-built investigations with one click.
4. Review the Results
Every answer includes:
- Clear explanation
- Evidence (logs, timestamps, alerts, firmware data)
- Practical next steps
5. Continue the Conversation
Ask follow-up questions and Monta AI keeps the context until you close the panel or switch pages.
Access & Permissions
- Available to: Customers in Beta
- Mode: Read-only (cannot modify configurations)
